“best cat pee carpet cleaner +how to get cat pee out of carpet”

The only thing that will break down the uric acid to permanently remove the smell is an enzyme cleaner. The enzymes break down uric acid into carbon dioxide and ammonia, both gasses that then easily evaporate. This is why it is also essential to allow the enzyme cleaner to air dry. It needs the “natural” drying time to break down the uric acid salts, allowing the resulting gases to evaporate.
If you catch your cat urinating on your carpet or floor, gently and quickly move him to the litter tray. Don’t punish him as this may increase his stress. Try to reinforce positive behavior. Punishment only causes more stress.

And sodium acetate really wont do anything to anything at that concentration either, it’s far too diluted in the mixture to actually do anything. The only thing you could argue is putting the baking deep in the stain then pouring the vinegar over it. It could lift some of the stains away from carpet fibers, but the actual chemistry of mixing the ingredients WONT do anything. You are cleaning it with basically nothing but water.
To tackle odor control, HEPA air purifiers usually combine the HEPA filter with additional filtration systems. Manufacturers like Austin Air combine the HEPA filtration technology with their own carbon/zeolite filter to effectively remove airborne pollutants and lingering odors and smells. The carbon/zeolite filter is impregnated with potassium iodide (in the HealthMate Plus air purifier) for enhanced removal of chemically reactive gases, providing your home with air that’s free of allergens, toxins, and odors.
How to know that the dog urine stain is definitely gone? Because it’s the bacteria for dog’s urine that causes the bad smell, obviously you won’t be able to see it. Thus, after you’ve treated the area, get a UV blacklight (pet urine detector) and light the area. A well-treated area with the best pet odor eliminator should pass the UV detector test.

This is amazing! I felt like I had tried everything (including buying a steam cleaner) and not one thing I tried worked! Thank you so much for sharing! I was going crazy with the smell of Dog Urine Read all Testimonials
Cat pee, or cat urine, if you will, may be the most formidable smell known to mankind. While the home remedies are effective in removing cat urine odor, some people (myself included) simply don’t have the time or the patience for serious cat urine scrubbing. If this is the case for you as well, let me recommend some products I’ve found that work great for cat urine removal. These, unlike the sprays that will do nothing for you but mask the odor for a few days, have enzymes in solution that will actually break down stains and odor causing molecules all while making your life much easier. A good cat urine cleaner will also have bacteria producing agents that will work continually until the stain and cat urine smell are gone completely. Simple Solution, Nature’s Miracle, Complete Pet Stain and Odor Remover by 8in1, and Capture Pet Stain and Odor Neutralizer are by far the most effective products I’ve found for cleaning cat urine. Best of all, a super cat urine remover is very easy to find. Many pet stores and online stores will carry one or all of these. Now that you know how to clean cat urine, get to work, that pee ain’t gonna clean itself. Oh, and wash your hands before you eat. That’s disgusting.

Well, my puppy started pottying on my new carpet after a few months, for some reason. I clean the spots by first soaking it all up with paper towels, then using OUT. I also used my carpet cleaner machine. However, I went back with the black light and the spots are still showing up just as bright. I’m sick. What to do?
I am so thankful that I found this site. I have 2, 11 year old kitties, both are fixed and have medical issues. My male cat has a urinary tract disorder and requires special food and lots of water. He is the perfect kitty, loves his litter box. My female has an inoperable stomach tumor and has decided that she no longer wants to pee in the litter box. Instead she has several places in my bedroom and bathroom that she rather use. I have tried vinegar w/ water and followed that with baking soda, she goes right on top of all of it. The tile and sheetrock in the bathroom are horrible. I have all the natural ways of cleaning them with no avail in deterring her. I’m not sure I know what an enzyme cleaner is but really need help with this. The Vet said they don’t make kitty diapers when I asked, I am willing to try anything.
This sounds supremely silly, but is the kennel smell more dog smell then urine smell? If so, he may just need a good bath to help stop the furniture smelling too “doggy” 😉 If his urine is really overpowering, I would make sure he’s drinking enough water. It would be highly unlikely for a young male dog to have a UTI of any sort, but something to think about if the smell is sickly strong.
Cats spray (mark walls and vertical surfaces) to mark their territory or when they feel threatened. If it’s spray we’re talking about instead of regular pee (a wet pool on the floor), you’ll need to treat the psychological reasons for the cat’s anxiety.
Eco Housekeeping Tip: Pet Odor Eliminator – spray bottle, water, mouthwash, newspaper. combine 2 parts water to 1 part mouthwash spray mixture on soiled area, do not soak. Then place newspape (Swell Bottle Essential Oils)
If you are treating large outdoor areas or entire houses for cat urine odor, you might want to consider purchasing the hydrogen peroxide at a higher concentration and diluting it. It would make each batch even cheaper for you. The peroxide can be bought in strengths such as 12%, 20%, 35% and 40%. The 35% solution is often called “food grade”.
Thanks for the comment, Art Lover. However, I have two 12-year-old cats that I’ve had since they were tiny kittens. I had them both declawed and they’ve never had issues with their litter boxes or their feet. I won’t start a debate on declawing here, because those can get ugly, but I highly recommend declawing.
Clean drains. Kitchen and bathroom sinks and drains can be home to mold, mildew, clogs, and other things that can cause bad smells in your house. To clean the drain, pour 1 cup (220 g) of baking soda down the drain. Pour 2 cups (470 ml) of white vinegar down the drain after the baking soda. Let the mixture foam and bubble for about 30 minutes.[2]
detergent/hydrogen peroxide/spices then sprinkling with baking soda. It seemed to help, but again, not nearly enough. In retrospect, I don’t think we were able to saturate the fairly large stain area deeply enough. That would have taken several applications – meaning several boxes of baking soda, etc. So, back to online searching.
There is a strong, legitimate, and chemically important reason to use an enzyme cleaner to clean cat urine stains. Home-made mixtures or typical household cleaners simply do not contain the required ingredients to remove ALL the components of cat urine. Vinegar and baking soda work to neutralize the odor temporarily, and hydrogen peroxide is 30% more oxidizing than chlorine. But cat urine is composed of things that REQUIRE enzymes to break down the chemical bonds.
The PurAyr™ process is natural and effective thanks to a simple element we call Oxygen. Most of the offensive and potentially harmful odors we experience are created by organic compounds such as bacteria, mold or incomplete combustion (smoke, soot, etc..). Although completely different in nature, these contaminants have at least one thing in common, they are held together by carbon bonds. When organic contaminants are exposed to the PurAyr™ gases, composed of purified Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) and Ozone (O3), they quickly begin to break down into the simple elements they were made from, the PurAyr™ gases in turn fall harmlessly back into Oxygen (O2). In essence we are speeding up time and doing what nature would take care of eventually.
For set-in pet stains on carpeting or rugs, simple spray cleaners may not suffice. You can rent a carpet cleaner from your local grocery or hardware store, or hire professional carpet cleaners to come attack the stains.
When caring for a pup that’s prone to accidents, some find that the best carpet dog odor eliminators are versatile and gentle enough for use on linens, upholstery and more. Many of these pet odor eliminators contain enzymes that break down odor-causing ammonia within their urine and waste. These products can help keep your fabrics from unwanted alterations by your furry friend.
Important. Never use ammonia or ammonia-based products on the carpet. One of the ingredients of urine is ammonia and your cat may well be encouraged to re-offend in the same area if it detects the smell of ammonia. Many household cleaner cleaners contain ammonia so be sure to read the label.
However, my cat – in addition to the aforementioned traits – is also extremely fastidious about the cleanliness of the litter boxes. Yes, I have one cat and two litter boxes (the general rule of thumb is the same number of litter boxes as cats, plus one).
