“best way to clean urine from couch _remove urine odor from toilet”

Then pour on Natures Miracle or The Simple Solution. (commercial products that can be purchased in most pet stores). Here is the trick, you must cover more than double the stained area when you pour on the product to ensure it soaks into the padding. Then walk away and allow to soak in and dry.

Wipe paws before your pet comes inside. Pets love to explore. This brings them a lot of joy, but also means that they can track all kinds of stinky substances into the house. To prevent this, leave a towel by the door and always wipe your pet’s paws when it comes inside. This is especially important on rainy and muddy days, or if your pet rolled in something outside.[18]
Nature’s Miracle is one of the most popular pet cleaning products out there. The advanced formula attacks set-in pet stains, removes pet pheromones, and destroys odors on contact to prevent re-soiling. Best of all, you can use it on any surface.
Urine Pre-Conditioner removes odor while breaking up and liquefying deposits for fast decontamination. This pre-treatment can be used on wet-cleanable carpet, upholstery, draperies, bedding, mattresses, and clothing.
If you want to eliminate toilet bowl odors, first and foremost – clean on a regular basis. When you clean, make sure you not only give the toilet bowl a good cleaning but clean around the outer sides, around and under the tank, and the floor around the toilet.
Most cleaners and odor removers work their best if you attack the problem as soon as it happens. The quicker you get to the disaster the better off you’ll be. Enzymatic solutions are particularly useful this way since fresher material will find the material more “palatable” in the immediate aftermath.
Leather and leather-like fabrics are a little more delicate, but can still be cleaned. Make a solution of equal parts vinegar and water. Soak a cloth and wring out as much liquid as you can, so the cloth is barely damp. Then, wipe the surface of the fabric to remove any troublesome smells that are lurking.[4]
This essential tool is used to work the UrineRelease Pre-Spray into the surface you are cleaning, releasing old dry urine. Use the Applicator Brush to work in the UrineOut Powder and increase its effectiveness.
It didn’t stain mine and I left it on over night but always test a small area first and don’t be shocked if you see the baking soda start to bubble, it is supposed to do that… be sure to add enough solution.
If the vinegar mixture is not working, you need to have a professional come out to clean. The problem is not the carpet, it is the padding underneath the carpet. If a spill or accident is not blotted up immediately, it soaks through the carpet and into the pad. When you spot clean, it does not clean down to the pad. The carpet may smell nice & look good, but if it gets wet or warm enough then the stuff left in the pad will come back up into the carpet. You really need to call a professional carpet cleaner with a truck mounted unit to come clean it. Their systems use very hot water & have a strong suction unit. They can get deep down to the pad & then extract all that water so it does not deteriorate the backing on your carpet.
It’s also important to consider your dog’s motivations for peeing inside. Sometimes, inappropriate elimination is a sign of a medical issue. It can also indicate anxiety or emotional distress. If your dog is peeing indoors, start with a vet visit to rule out physical causes.
Enzymes cleaner, soap and water, vinegar – none of these work. We’ve tried for years with all of these but our dog keeps going back to the same spots so obviously, the smell is attracting him. It drives me crazy.
Hi Mary, My spray bottle became clogged also. can fix it by running the openning under very hot water for a few minutes and the spray some very hot water a few times. This works but not in a spray bottle! I had two areas of puppy pee on my mattress and I have been very upset about it and have been sleeping in another bed. This is what I did: I sprayed the peroxide directly on the stains, then mixed the baking soda and dish soap in a jar and shook very hard. I put the solution on a clean white rag and rubbed the stains (sprayed with peroxide) very hard. I set up a fan and in one hour I had a white, fresh smelling mattress again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! The clean scent is chemical-free, and Sunny & Honey Pet Stain and Odor Miracle is safe for use around children and other animals. The odor of this product is not as strong as many of the other options available. Unlike some products that seem to make the smell of pet stains worse, many customers attest to the fact that this actually helps to neutralize the odor.
Search at night or in complete darkness. Pet urine can be difficult to see, especially when old, so maximize your search efforts by taking advantage of darkness. Either wait for night, or make the room as dark as possible.
Iodine is also used when you have a situation with dog pee smell on the wooden surfaces. The solution is prepared in the same way. If the odor remains after all your attempts maybe you should consider contacting drycleaner or cleaning professionals. Sometimes old pee smell is very difficult to remove.
Vacuum the soiled area. Vacuuming the soiled area removes both the urine particles and the deodorizer you applied. Extracting wet vacs work the best for this since they saturate the carpet and then vacuum the water back into the vacuum’s tank.[6] In a pinch, you can use your regular vacuum; it just won’t be as effective as the wet vac.
We quickly and effeciently remove odors left behind by guests including body odors, moisture, food odors, tobacco and even marijuana and we never use ozone or toxic, temporary fragrances or other cover-ups.
I had a stench that I could not get removed from dog urine in carpets. I bought Tide Odor Rescue and mixed it with hot water in a Gallon bucket. I used a $1 store scrub brush to scrub the carpet with the solution. The smell left immediately. I’m not sure how long it will last but just to be safe I sprayed the spots with The Amazing Whip It to ensure the smell doesn’t return. Whip it works perfectly but costs quite a bit compared to the Tide. I recommend either product to remove the stench. I also used a towel to blot up any excess products. Oh yeah, the stain went away immediately too. They were old stains. Whip is so good you can just spray the stains and walk away. Try either one and give a response. You won’t be disappointed
We have a little female Sheltie that has had repeated urinary infections therefore she has had those accidents we’ve been reading about. If you watch your dog while outside and they try to pee (males???) and nothing comes out, this may be a clue that they have some irritation. Get to the vet. Cleaning their bottoms occasionally with a baby wipe may keep the bacteria in-check.
We have experienced dog urine stains and odor in carpets and have found most commercial cleaners are ineffective. In addition, most carpet cleaning companies are unable to remove the odor. We had one company that had to clean and treat the flooring under the carpet in order to eliminate the odor under the carpet. We are trying the vinegar solution as a last resort for an area rug that the carpet cleaning company was unsuccessful at deodorizing.
Cats make wonderful pets. They are affectionate (at least sometimes), they don’t need to be walked outside when the weather is cold and rainy the way dogs do and they are pretty low maintenance as far as animals go.
Have your pet checked by a veterinarian to rule out medical causes for the accident. When you are certain your pet is healthy, use positive reinforcement to train yourcat or dog to eliminate in the proper place.
Pictured above is the brilliant gadget that will detect dried urine and those stains you just cannot see! It is an LED/UV Cat-Dog-Pet Urine Stain Blacklight Flashlight and is available at a big discount from Amazon.
I used a rented carpet cleaner extractor which is way more powerful then the home versions and the Nature’s Miracle posted above, not the gallon type. I really thought it was a lost cause but it worked! 🙂
By wetting the carpet will sometimes “reactivate” the cat urine odor, making it stronger before it gets better. If you’ve treated three or more times, wait a few days to see what happens with the odor. Don’t treat again. Usually what will happen is one of two things: 1) The smell will be lessened but not completely gone, or 2) The smell will have gone completely away.
I have been told by an animal behaviorist about this product for ridding your carpet from pee odors and poop odors. The product is called Anti Icky Poo (lol). It is organic and environmentally safe to remove odors. It is avaible at some pet stores or online.
There is nothing more embarrassing than hearing someone ask, “What’s that smell?” when they enter your home. Many things can cause lingering odors, and they have nothing to do with how much you clean. Once odors are embedded deep down where normal cleaning cannot reach, those unpleasant smells will hang in the air. In some cases, they can even make the air unhealthy and cause an array of health problems. If you have odors that won’t go away then it’s time to call the professionals.
It does flare up my asthma WHILE I spray it, but only because I am kneeling over the area and spraying a lot of volume. If I spray less or simply walk away for a few minutes it is fine. No need for hours of ventilation like Odoban or other stronger products….literally just a few minutes.
Important: Bleach is very dangerous for our skin. During the whole process of preparation and applying the bleach use rubber gloves in order not to harm your skin. It is also recommended to apply some greasy hand cream on the hands before wearing gloves.
I recently moved into a new apartment and sequestered my cats in the guest bathroom while we unpacked. Now the bathroom smells even though the cats didn’t seem to have any accidents. What would you suggest?
