“best way to get rid of cat urine _urine odor out of carpet”

Although cats are often driven to spray by hormones, there are other reasons for it. Cats may spray out of stress, anxiety, or frustration with their circumstances, including such conditions as restrictive diets, insufficient playtime or territorial disputes with other cats. If your cat is spraying because of disputes with either other cats in the home or in the neighborhood, it’s important for you to identify and remove the stimuli.  Separate feuding cats in your household and reintroduce them slowly, using food treats to reward and encourage peaceful behavior. To ease anxiety, try a plug-in diffuser that releases a synthetic cat pheromone developed to reassure your cat.
Hi I have a cat who keeps peeing in the same spot (next to rat cage) he’s been treated for a UTI as a precaution even though the vet doubted an infection and was convinced it was all behavioural and he was territorial, the meds were a precaution. Anyway I’ve tried other things with the pet rats and now I need to regime as they are getting stressed with smell of cat Lee (yes he’s neutered) so they scent mark even more which in turn stresses kitty and makes him scent mark also. I live in UK and have never seen peroxide in shops, do you think I could clean up without the peroxide? I have been using a UK enzymatic cleaner called urine off cost around 15gbp ($26) so it has cost a fair bit, but the smell remains. I’m hoping when the rats have been regimes that his urge will go, but with HIS smell still there who knows? Any suggestions??
Wet paper or cloth towels with cool water, and lay them over the spot. Put a heavy object on top of the wet towels and leave the towels overnight. When you remove it in the morning, you can assess whether or not you need to take more extreme measures.
Hopefully, a general cleaning is all that is needed. If the urine has seeped into the wall or under the floor, you may have to call in the professionals. It may be necessary to remove and replace sections of flooring or walls.
There are two behaviors stimulated by pet odors remaining in the carpet dogs/cats both perform territorial “marking” with urine and, being creatures of habit, they tend to revisit spots they’ve used before. They can detect the very slightest aroma remaining in the carpet, which prompts them to “re-pee” in that spot. Your pet’s extraordinary sense of smell, combined with behavioral programming, can make managing pet stains a big problem. Enzymatic cleaners are organic compounds containing microscopic enzymes that destroy bacteria that cause pet stain odors. Thorough destruction of the bacteria is the only way to eliminate odors so that your pets can’t smell where they’ve (literally) pee’d before. If pet stains are a persistent problem, you’ll need to use a professional carpet cleaning machine that can apply the enzyme cleaner to the carpet and then suction it out sufficiently to prevent moisture accumulations beneath the carpet. Follow the product directions carefully.
We usually use Nature’s Miracle for our little accidents, but this is a recipe I’d like to try in the future. Fortunately most of our accidents are small puppy accidents and only end up on the carpet or tile floor. I’m glad I haven’t had to deal with a mattress stain…yet…
That being said, together they don’t make a good cleaning agent, but used together, they can dislodge hair and residue buildup in a drain. That’s where the fizzy fun and the bubbly reaction come into play.
I have a dog door in my house. Although my dogs use it regularly, one of my dogs is afraid to go out when it is raining heavily, and has peed on the carpet a few times at night without my knowledge. I didn’t know about it until it had dried. Please don’t judge. Nobody wants their pet to pee in the house. It’s so frustrating and embarrassing.

Often a cat will inappropriately urinate because of a medical condition. If you have problems with a cat not using his litter box please get him checked by a vet. Examination by your vet for lower urinary tract diseases is necessary to rule out medical conditions which could be causing the inappropriate urination problem. For example a painful case of cystitis or urethral blockage may have your cat associating the pain of urination with it’s litter tray and it will therefore avoid it’s litter tray. When a cat pees on rugs, carpets or furnishings it can leave a very unpleasant distinctive cat smell that is hard to get rid of. This urine odor stimulates the cat to urinate in that area again thus perpetuating the problem. Once you remove the odor permanently the cat will no longer keep going back to the same spot to re-offend.
