“best way to get rid of dog pee smell remove urine odor home remedy”

Enzymes cleaner, soap and water, vinegar – none of these work. We’ve tried for years with all of these but our dog keeps going back to the same spots so obviously, the smell is attracting him. It drives me crazy.
Many of the cheaper cleaners simply won’t work on set in stains and odors. If that’s the case for you, then you’ll need to make sure that you get it with something strong, soak it, and leave it for a considerable period of time.
That means keeping your animal in a cage 16 plus hours a day??? Why don’t you simply take him/her outside for a short pee break at intervals??when you wake, at lunch. after work and before bed…it’s cruel to cage an animal 16 hours, why bother having an animal if all you do is keep it in a tight cage
Find old stains. You might have a general idea of where old stains might be from the odor. If you think there might be old stains in an area, explore using a sweeping motion, gradually moving farther away from the generally smelly location. The pet urine that you’re looking for should show up as a yellow or greenish color. Try looking in the following areas:
Purchase a commercial product. Look in particular for an enzymatic cleaner. Enzymatic cleaners are specifically designed for cleaning urine-soiled areas. These types of cleaners break down the enzymes in the cat urine and neutralize the odor. They can usually be purchased at any pet store. Well-known brands include Knock Out, Urine Off, and Anti-Icky Poo.
HI I TRIED THIS RECIPE AND WE HAD A PERFECTLY GOOD SPRAY BOTTLE WHICH GOT CLOGGED UP. THE BAKING SODA WOULD NOT DISSOLVE WHICH IS THE REASON THE SPRAY BOTTLE CLOGGED. I SUGGEST YOU USE VINEGAR AND BAKING SODA ON CARPETING. I MUST MENTION THAT WE HAVE A PURE WOOL AREA RUG. IT HAS BEEN MY PAST EXPERIENCE THAT WOOL RUGS CLEAN UP BEAUTIFULLY! Regards, MARY
I had a stench that I could not get removed from dog urine in carpets. I bought Tide Odor Rescue and mixed it with hot water in a Gallon bucket. I used a $1 store scrub brush to scrub the carpet with the solution. The smell left immediately. I’m not sure how long it will last but just to be safe I sprayed the spots with The Amazing Whip It to ensure the smell doesn’t return. Whip it works perfectly but costs quite a bit compared to the Tide. I recommend either product to remove the stench. I also used a towel to blot up any excess products. Oh yeah, the stain went away immediately too. They were old stains. Whip is so good you can just spray the stains and walk away. Try either one and give a response. You won’t be disappointed
Try this super product from Nature’s Miracle that contains no phosphates and is designed for use with any brand of machine you have for cleaning your rugs and carpets, provided that it is of the water-based type.
No need to worry about staining either, this product breaks down the stains which can emerge from urine in a natural way. This allows things to get settled out and leave you with a clean floor that only has the cleaner’s scent to it.
I used stickable 1/4 inch foam around my door cracks and used a rolled up towel and body pillow against the bottom of the door crack to solve this problem. You might also want to close any heating vents in your room (if you can maintain a comfortable temperature in there without them), as the smoke travels through these vents.
Using small piece of soap and a bit of water make a cleaning soapy liquid. The resulting soapy liquid is applied on the smelling surface. Wait for approximately 10 minutes. With the wet sponge remove the remaining soap and wash the spot.
Hey, this may be a bit late for the one commenter talking about pee soaked plywood subflooring but maybe it can help someone else in the future. After treating plywood with vinegar, bleach, whatever else, let it dry thoroughly and then use Killz primer on it. Do a couple of coats. This will seal the plywood and hel prevent any residual urine smell from coming up through new carpeting.
Cleaning, cleaning, and yet more cleaning is essential. Experts suggest using the deodorizing schedule in this article, daily, for two to three weeks after the cat used it as a toilet. Also, put the cat’s food in the same location as she’s less likely to soil where she eats. Alternatively, put a litter box on the same spot.
Unfortunately this alone did not do it so I was very glad to find a site that said to sprinkle plain baking soda, a lot, then spray it with a solution of 1/4cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide & 1 tsp Dawn dish soap (multiply it larger areas), use a soft bristle brush to rub it it then leave it to dry well (a few hours). When it is completely dry vacuum it up. Depending how bad the stain/smell, you may need to do this a couple time… but it has worked!!!
Few things are worse than the lingering smell of cat urine. This stubborn problem requires detailed cleaning and a few good habits. Make sure you have the necessary supplies on hand and always be prepared for any surprises your cat has in store for you.

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the opportunity to put Stinkers! to the test on several occasions, and I wanted to share how well it performed in these five ultimately stinky situations (spoiler alert: AMAZING!):
Check clothing for urine. If any clothing has urine, add 1 cup (60 ml) of apple cider vinegar to the laundry detergent in your regular wash. If you still smell urine, add some enzymatic cleaner to your wash.[4]

Then pour on Natures Miracle or The Simple Solution. (commercial products that can be purchased in most pet stores). Here is the trick, you must cover more than double the stained area when you pour on the product to ensure it soaks into the padding. Then walk away and allow to soak in and dry.
A malodor is another way of saying “bad odor”.  These are often made from molecules that contain nitrogen, oxygen, and/or sulfur.  Aveho will selectively target these compounds, and will bind them, or convert them to substances that don’t smell so offensive.
So while we’re trying to get back on track, we have a huge uphill battle to fight. Today at work the guys I’m working with said I smell like cat pee. The clothes I’m wearing came straight out of the laundry. A big problem is I can’t smell it anymore. I put the clothes on my nose and I can’t smell anything that smells like cat pee. My sister told me the same thing last week so I’ve been trying to wash my clothes and put them away right away. I feel awful. How am I suppose to fix the problem with odor if I can’t smell it to know if it’s gone or not? My sister said that Odoban makes a laundry detergent that has enzymes and that I should try that. Odoban Sport or something? She said it’s on Amazon. Anyone have experience with that?
