“best way to remove urine smell from carpet enzymatic cleaner for dog urine on concrete”

Also in some of the cardboard boxes he & his brother like to play in. Marco doesn’t pee outside litter but Izzy(the demon brother),seems to take pleasure in it. I am in the process of washing beds with your formula. Any thoughts why he pees in his own bed?
Another idea is to clean out your home heating ducts. This is a place where gunk and cat fur can get trapped and so can the smells. You can hire someone to do this or checkout YouTube videos on how to do it yourself. Soaking the grates themselves also couldn’t hurt anything, especially if it’s possible that the cats have peed on these as well. (Of course, make sure that if you take the vent covers off, the cats are contained and won’t crawl in).
That means keeping your animal in a cage 16 plus hours a day??? Why don’t you simply take him/her outside for a short pee break at intervals??when you wake, at lunch. after work and before bed…it’s cruel to cage an animal 16 hours, why bother having an animal if all you do is keep it in a tight cage
I haven’t had an issue, but everyone’s floors are a little different, so I’d suggest trying a small inconspicuous area just to be sure 🙂 Honestly, if it’s a smooth, hard, surface, I usually just mop up and liquids/pick up any solids and then use vinegar with some essential oil in it to clean.

Hi Mary. Question: I have black oriental rugs which have been doused with cat urine. Will the peroxide fade them? As expensive as they are, I am afraid to try without an opinion. Thank you. Lynn in FL [email protected]
Add in 4 heaping tablespoons of baking soda, adding it in smaller amounts if it threatens to fizz over (and it really does fizz!) Pour into a spray bottle and thoroughly spray the area. Let sit for 5 minutes, then gently rub and blot up with a soft cloth. You can also simply pour some straight from the bowl over the stain if you don’t have a spray bottle.
White vinegar is great to get rid of some odors, though it isn’t always effective against cat and dog pee. Used straight from the bottle or diluted with water, white vinegar will help neutralize pet urine odors, and it won’t leave behind a sour vinegar smell.
If it isnt a lot of pee, then repeatedly rinsing and drying the area MAY work, as may using something that draws out liquid, such as bicarb of soda or even salt… (so you wash the stain, dab dry, pour on the powder/salt, leave to dry, vacuum off).
Your recipe for bulk says 1/2 tsp of dish washing liquid. Is this correct? Because it’s less than what a single recipe calls for. We’re using for a whole house. Previous owner had 16 cats :/ and 2 dogs. Thanks for the recipe!
If you’re tired of constantly cleaning up after your cat, or you fear that the urine has soaked down to the carpet pad or throughout your hardwood floor, call a professional. Granted, it will cost more, but it is likely to be more effective.
Clean the toilets. Toilets are another household fixture that can house mold, mildew, bacteria, and other stink-sources. Pour 1 cup (235 ml) of vinegar into the bowl. Spray down the outside of the bowl and seat with vinegar as well. Let the vinegar stand for five minutes. Scrub the inside of the bowl with the toilet brush, and wipe the outside of the bowl and the seat with rags or paper towels.[3]

It’s important to ventilate the area to help remove the odor from the air. Open all windows, doors, and other points of entry to maximize the flow of fresh air. Ceiling fans, box fans, and portable fans should be utilized inside the space where removal is needed.
However, you need to be careful when making a purchase of any household cleaning products for a home that has pets. Because of the chemicals they contain, you must first confirm and ensure that they will be safe for your dog. Here are the five best pet odor eliminator products that work great for dogs urine smell (and cats, too):
Use air fresheners and get the floor professionally cleaned. You might need to set up recurring floor cleanings to get the smell completely out. Worst case scenario, you will have to replace the flooring and anything else the cats peed on.
As our aim is not just to wash the spot but to prevent our dog from peeing there again we should try to use some ingredients which has very strong smell. Using vodka or alcohol (as they have such a strong odor themselves) will help to avoid the future repetition of the pee smell situation. In order to eliminate the smell from the carpet surface we need to apply vodka by wetting the spot with the cloth or spraying it with the spray bottle. After applying the alcohol we should rub the surface with some force. After rubbing we should take a dry paper towel and wipe the remaining liquid from the carpet. We should again and again wipe the surface until the paper towel will remain completely dry.
You may have to use this on the same stain a couple of times before it comes up completely. Some unhappy customers say not to expect miracles from the product, claiming it did nothing in the way of helping lift their carpet stains. Other unsatisfied reviewers mentioned the odor of this solution was too strong or unpleasant.
Some cleaning products work better than others depending on the type of carpet you have, such as natural versus synthetic fibers. Read the label on these products to find the one that can best remove dog or pet urine odor from carpet.
Let the sun shine in. Sunlight contains ultra-violet rays, which have the power to kill things like smell-causing mold and bacteria. No matter what time of year it is, open the curtains and drapes throughout the house on a sunny day and let the UV rays in.
Adding to the stench are the powerful hormones that cats eliminate when they pee. Unless male cats are neutered, their testosterone-spiked urine signals other males to stay away and lets females know they’re around.
We have 4 cats. 3 of them used the litter boxes well, until we were forced to take in a new kitten. He was not trained as we were told. Our older female started doing the territorial peeing EVERY WHERE in the house. Spots the new kitten was peeing in as well as on rugs, clothing and the bedding and mattresses. 2 of the cats decided staying outside all the time was the best answer for dealing with the new kitten. Our older female, even a year later, despises this kitten and will purposefully pee on everything right in front of us as if she is still angry that her space was taken. Yes, she was spoiled from the beginning of her life. First it was just peeing, but now the kitten has come to age to be in heat..spraying n peeing ALL OVER , wherever he can, which makes our older female even worse so that now she is pooping every where as well. We have a HUGE house that is mostly carpeted, the house is old so the floor underneath is very old wood, which I am positive is soaked to every fiber. We have tried every known remedy online and offline..nothing helps. kitten is not well enough to be neutered yet, he had a very bad fight with the female and got hurt so is still healing, but we cannot afford to re carpet the entire house or replace the entire flooring (we’re already putting out money for a new roof). The lady who owned the house before us had a dog, she was old and disabled so we are fairly sure no one ever helped her clean these carpets. There are certain spots that they pee n poop worse than others, like right underneath heaters. We think the older female is doingb this mostly out of behavioural issues. Weve had these cats for a long time and love them, but are ready to let them go because of how badly they have ruined the house. PLEASE HELP!!
Hi Mary, My spray bottle became clogged also. You can fix it by running the openning under very hot water for a few minutes and the spray some very hot water a few times. This works but not in a spray bottle! I had two areas of puppy pee on my mattress and I have been very upset about it and have been sleeping in another bed. This is what I did: I sprayed the peroxide directly on the stains, then mixed the baking soda and dish soap in a jar and shook very hard. I put the solution on a clean white rag and rubbed the stains (sprayed with peroxide) very hard. I set up a fan and in one hour I had a white, fresh smelling mattress again. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! That’s a great question Gary. Regarding how to remove dog urine from carpet that has set in, we recommend the same products and techniques. People really rave about Nature’s Miracle and some members of our team have used it as well. We’ve read that it performs well for urine that has dried up, so I would recommend purchasing it and seeing how it works. Best of luck!
One possible cause that i haven’t seen here is that you dog/puppy may have diabetes. My puppy was not getting house trained so i took her to the vet to only find you she was very sick. If you still have problems contact a vet/trainer for help.
Let this sit while you go get some paper towels or a cleaning rag to blot up the liquid. When you’ve finished blotting up as much as will come up, cover with a towel until dry or dry enough to tell whether or not you’ll need to repeat these steps again.
In particular, the thing you need to deal with – aside from hiding the smell from your nose, is hiding the smell from the dog’s nose. Some detergents react, and will hide it from you but the dog will still know it’s there, and may use that spot again.
Is your dog still going on the floor? Getting dog urine out of your carpet doesn’t have to be hard, but you’ll need to act quickly. Dog urine that is allowed to dry will not only stain the carpet, but will make it easier for harmful bacteria to start multiplying. The following are ways to get dog urine odor out of the carpet to prevent future repeat incidents.
