“clean up dog pee +best way to clean urine from couch”

We just got two kittens about a week and a half ago. They both use the litter box, but I noticed he doesn’t cover up. As I was cleaning today I’ve noticed cat pee and a lot of different places. I caught him tonight peeing on my daughter’s bed, a mink blanket I got in Korea. He is only 7 to 9 weeks old and we got him from the animal shelter. Do you think it’s because he’s still young and having accidents or could there possibly be something else? Everything else about him is great. Oh, we do have 2 dogs but they are separated by a baby gate so they can see each other but not so much interaction just yet.
A malodor is what we perceive when our noses detect certain chemicals present in the air in very small amounts, between less than 1 and 100 parts in 1 million.  Aveho traps or breaks down these chemicals.  As these chemicals and the Aveho particles come into contact, Aveho will capture many of them, whether they are in the air or water.  Once they are captured, they will either remain bound to the Aveho particles, or they are converted into different chemicals that do not smell unpleasant.
When you need a urine remover that not only removes the noxious odor but prevents the production of associated ammonia gasses, opt for UPT+ from Pro’s Choice. Pro’s Choice UPT+ (Urine Pre-Treatment Plus) is a MUST-HAVE product when dealing with extreme urine removal.
At first I was skeptical about the pods but I gave them a try. I was having a hard time because they would stick to some of the clothes in the load. I would not put them into the washer first and I think that’s why they would stick. But after doing so, I am very satisfied with the product. It is just so convenient to carry a couple of them to the laundry mat!
When we moved to our new home, everything looked ok. After a time s nasty smell started coming from the carpet. Then I remembered that the previous owners had cats at home and because we liked the carpet we didn’t throw it. At the end i tried whatever came to my mind to get rid if the smell, but it didn’t help. At the end I called carpet cleaning guys (http://www.mariettacleaning.com ) who helped me out. So these tips above work great if the stain is fresh, but not when it’s penetrated deep in the carpet’s fibers.
Understand only enzymatic cleaners can get rid of urine odor completely. Uric acid can only be broken down by enzymes. Unfortunately, cleaners like baking soda, soap, and vinegar will only mask the smell temporarily. These alternative methods are good to use if you don’t have enzymatic cleaner on hand at the moment of the incident. Eventually, you will need to clean the area with enzymatic cleaner.
I used stickable 1/4 inch foam around my door cracks and used a up towel and body pillow against the bottom of the door crack to solve this problem. You might also want to close any heating vents in your room (if you can maintain a comfortable temperature in there without them), as the smoke travels through these vents.
Use the hydrogen peroxide and dish soap method. Start by dusting the stain with a thin coat of baking soda, then mix up about a cup of hydrogen peroxide with a tablespoon of dish soap in a spray bottle. Mix gently to combine. Then, saturate the baking soda and the stain thoroughly. Use an old toothbrush or your fingers to massage the mixture gently into the carpet, then let the mixture sit until it dries. Vacuum up the mess and clean it again with cool water.[2]
Several vacuum brands sell smaller versions of wet-vacs for home use that retail between $150 and $200. These handy machines spray, brush and remove stains on their own and sell a version of their concentrated cleaner that’s formulated specifically to treat pet stains.
This home remedy is a life saver! My cat likes to pee in the dining room (of all places) to teach me a lesson when I go out of town… and this is the ONLY thing that works to eliminate the odor…and I’ve tried EVERYTHING! Thank you SO much!
Anyone who has dealt with cat urine issues (and really loves their cat, like I do) knows the frustration that goes comes along with it. Why do our furry loved ones do this to us? Since we may not ever know the answer, at least we have SUN to clean it up in the meantime. Not only does SUN smell great (not like urine at all) my cat does not urinate on the same spot again after it has completely dried and I have completed my “method. I wrote this review on my accord and made it so detailed because I know there someone out there who is at their breaking point and needs try something new. For only 7.99, you have to try this stuff! My only compliant… please make a bigger bottle!
We have only had good results with the enzyme based Natures Miracle product in the red sprsy bottle, unless it has been changed . Their aerosol can carpet product uses a strong masking perfume abd we do not recommend that version.
Instead of purchasing expenses products, save your money and make yourself up a solution of rug cleaner in a spray bottle consisting of white vinegar and water (equal parts), dish washing liquid (a few drops). Have on hand hydrogen peroxide 3% – you can put on full strength as it’s already diluted. And some baking baking soda for later. You can also use SHOUT and Spray N Wash from your laundry room.
Open windows. There’s nothing like some nice, fresh breeze to air out bad smells. In spring, summer, and fall, open windows throughout the house to create a breeze that will blow fresh air in one window and bad smells out the other.[9]
I sure hope that the plants aren’t poisonous to the cats. You can put Lava Rocks around plants on top of dirt and your cat won’t dig there anymore; cats don’t like the feel of them. Water goes right though them to the plant’s roots, plus they are very pretty. I put them in all of my potted plants since we have 5 cats. You can purchase them in big bags at home improvement stores such as Stines, Home Depot or Lowes.
Great article, we had to remove all the carpet in our home because the previous owners had dogs and our cats decided, this is our house and they marked everything. This include removing and replacing base boards. We are on a concrete slab so we used TSP then a product called odorxit. After the new floors, baseboards, also using a turkey baster needle to inject seal plate and studs with concentrate. We also used the odorxit on the sheet rock, plus repainted the whole downstairs. I can tell you the odorxit is not cheep, but it works. Another time one of our cats got left in the guest room and pee pee on the mattress. Ordorxit to the rescue. 3 applications it took, but no more cat pee smell. Once I run out, I will be buying more. They have another product called odorxit magic spray. Spray this over your kitty box fresh as anything, and the cats keep coming back to the box. I have no affiliation with this company, but I was at my wits end, and found them before they got big and got their product in Amazon and Walmart. The customer service were the nicest people I have talked to as well.
The only thing that will break down the uric acid to permanently remove the smell is an enzyme cleaner. The enzymes break down uric acid into carbon dioxide and ammonia, both gasses that then easily evaporate. This is why it is also essential to allow the enzyme cleaner to air dry. It needs the “natural” drying time to break down the uric acid salts, allowing the resulting gases to evaporate.
It shouldn’t- the kind you get at the stores is usually 3% dilute. Professional carpet cleaners usually use it at around 10%. Just make sure to always test for color fastness no matter what you decide to try 🙂

For carpet and upholstery that has been heavily saturated, the baking soda and vinegar method may not be strong enough. For those tough jobs invest in a compact upholstery cleaner – preferably one that utilizes hot water or has a built-in water heater – to remove cat urine stains and odors.
“I had a real problem in my garage/basement from 7 cats!  I tried everything, scrubbing, soaking, spraying, you name it, Well, I sprinkled the granules on the floor and the smell vanished in a few hours.  I am incredibly impressed.”  Susan, Kansas City

It’s a disposal for food waste. Of course it can get a little stinky! But it’s easy to fix. One of the first things you should know is don’t run hot water while using the disposal. Hot water only causes grease to liquefy, accumulate, and cause your drain to get clogged. Always run cold water while running the disposal.
Clean the garbage can. Before putting a fresh bag into the empty garbage can, give the can itself a good cleaning to remove any spills or particles that could cause lingering smells. To clean the garbage can:[7]
What do you do if the clothing is a dry clean only winter coat? My sons friends cat sprayed all over him. I won’t allow the clothing in my house until I know how to get rid of the urine. I have a cat and do not want him to start spraying my house.
Ashley, it won’t ruin your clothes- has never ruined mine! They’re pretty gentle cleansers. Once you’ve efficiently removed the ammonia from them (with the vinegar and baking soda) you might even try an extra wash using OxyClean. I love that stuff and it’s never failed to remove nasty odors. I just don’t know that I would mix it with straight cat urine, so that’s why I suggest using it after thoroughly rinsing the items first.
