“best cat urine remover from carpet _best way to remove cat urine smell from carpet”

I need some help. One of my cats had peed on the carpet and I didn’t about it until it was almost dried up. I have already done a treatment of white vinegar. Saturated the area and sprinkled baking soda on top of it to absorb. I cleaned it up after the baking soda turned brown, about 24 hours later. Still noticed it smelled of urine and put more baking soda on the area for 24 hours. More brown showed up and vacuumed it up. I took some soap and warm water to scrub the area and laid more baking soda down. I feel like did some of the cleaning half right. Any guidance on what I have done so far would be wonderful. Thank you.
The reviewed removers are chosen from the best cat urine removers that have been proven to be very effective. All the formula is safe for hand contact, you only need to be careful not to let it touch your eyes. Wearing safety glasses is fine and don’t let children get close to the product since they might try to drink it. Depending on the type of stain that you’re going to apply on, choose the right remover. For food stains, it’s best to use natural bacterial formula products. But if it mostly contains chemical components, a chemical formula might work better.

Try different litters. Your cat may not like the texture of your current litter, so find out what he does like. Line up a few disposable litter boxes next to your cat’s regular box, each with a different brand and/or texture of litter, and see which one your cat likes best.
Uric acid is not water-soluble and it bonds tightly to whatever it’s in contact with. It can’t be removed with soap, baking soda, or hydrogen peroxide – all of which are commonly recommended for removing cat urine. While these solutions can temporarily remove the smell and even appear to be effective, they ultimately don’t break down the odor-releasing uric acid. As this uric acid lingers, it can continue to release the urine smell for years. This persistent odor, while not always detectable by the human olfactory sense, may cause your cat to return to the area repeatedly, perpetuating the issue
Mix up your water and vinegar solution. After blotting up any excess fluid, sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the soiled area. Pour the water and vinegar solution directly onto the baking soda to create a mini cleaning volcano that will actively eat away at the stain. Blot and rub gently dry with a soft cloth after letting it sit for 5 minutes.
These stains were deep set and months old – and still smelled to the point it was uncomfortable being in the bedroom. You could still get the urine smell in other rooms of the apartment. The stain area was approximately 3×6 including the perimeter. We used three bottles mixed to highest recommended concentration on the stain area itself and one bottle with a less concentrated mixture on the perimeter. As other reviewers have said, it worked quickly. The smell was pretty much gone soon after saturating. It even seemed to get better as it dried. It’s now been over a week after treating the carpet with SUN and there is no urine odor in other rooms of the apartment and the bedroom is being comfortably used as a bedroom again. When the bedroom is warm or when you’re really giving the bedroom stain area the *sniff* test, you can get a whiff of odor. I’ve just ordered two more bottles and plan on to retreat the area with normal concentration mixtures. If they do any further magic I’ll update. We could just as easily have left things as they are and been satisfied, but we figured the first treatment was so effective, why not see if we can totally eliminate the odor.
urine can penetrate the face fibers, also the backing which is plastic.sometimes with a big pet it can reach down to the pad and the subfloor wood or concrete.first pull carpet off of tack strip check to see if urine has gone into the plastic or back of carpet.if you see or smell it there but not in padding or concrete then apply a enzyme treatment to it and extract the urine with a extractor.flip carpet back down onto tack strips and apply to fibers on top carpet rinse with extractor.dry carpet with high speed air mover.if the urine soaks padding remove and discard.apply enzyme to subfloor clean and extract and dry out

Mix up ½ teaspoon (2.5 grams) of bleach with 1 quart (32 ounces/950ml) of distilled water. Do a patch test on a part of the carpet you don’t usually see, and make sure you won’t damage the color. Then saturate the area and allow the solution to soak into the carpet for at least 10 minutes.

If you have a wood subfloor, remove the nails that keep the tack strips in place. If you have a concrete subfloor, you’ll find that removing the nails will leave large divots in the subfloor, which need to be filled in with spackling. To get around that, simply cut the nails flush with the floor with a multi-tool (e.g. Dremel).

When your cat takes to urinating outside the litter box, the smell can be difficult to get rid of and nearly impossible to mask. Whether the cat pees on a carpet, a piece of furniture, bed linens, or your clothes, it’s important to neutralize the odor both to avoid embarrassment and to prevent the cat from becoming a repeat offender, as they’ll often return to a spot where they have previously urinated if the odor is not eliminated.  Consider this your ultimate guide to eliminating cat urine smells from your home and determining why your cat may be urinating outside of his or her litter box.
Toni, depending on the size of the stain this may work or you may want to try a method that would penetrate into the rug pad. I use the BISSELL Little Green ProHeat. https://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-ProHeat-Compact-Mul…
