“cat odor _pet urine carpet cleaner”

Urine can often soak through the carpet and into the subflooring, leaving a stain and a stench that can’t be lifted with carpet cleaner and elbow grease. If you have pet odor that will not go away despite your best carpet-cleaning efforts, neutralize the scent by using an oil-based, stain-blocking primer beneath the carpeting on the subfloor and replace the padding as well as that area of carpet.
Gather the ingredients to make a homemade cleaner. While enzymatic cleaners are ideal, you can substitute a homemade cleaner that uses white vinegar, baking soda, liquid dish detergent, and 3% hydrogen peroxide. Vinegar helps to kill any bacteria and neutralize the odor.[14]
I certainly hope that I never have to use Stinkers! for skunk spray, but I’m pretty confident that it would do a great job. According to one of the many 5-star reviews on Amazon, “Skunks and my dogs meet each other on a regular basis on my ranch…forget all those home remedies, this works!” Judging by how well Stinkers! worked on everything else we tested this past month (including that absolutely putrid dead animal stink!), I’m going to take his word for it!
This is a product I will never be without. My cat pee’d on my carpet. After 5 steam cleanings with enzymatic cleaners it still smelled bad. I was to the point of tearing up the carpet and replacing the pad and carpet plus treating the sub floor with something when a friend recommended this. I used it last night, sprinkled it on, left a fan running over it overnight, vacuumed it up this morning and there is NO pee smell! Since my super power is my sense of smell this was amazing. My friend told me it may take several applications but it only took one. I did sprinkle a little more on and will leave it today. The only downside I see (and I think it’s because it’s in a high traffic area and I know several of my lovely offspring did walk on it) is that it tracked a bit and you need a really strong vacuum to suck it up, it goes deep into the carpet but that also means it gets where it needs to be. Very, very happy with this product.
3 Simple Steps to a Clean-Smelling Home – using a great pet hair vacuum (that is SO budget-friendly) and this simple all-natural carpet freshener you can make for pennies, you can make your carpets look and smell amazing without chemicals!
1) You might discolor your carpet – baking soda & vinegar. Think about it. It’s a paste that can interact with the chemistry of the carpet. Don’t believe me? Start reading through the comments. There are some people who say it works, but do you want to be one of the readers who was left with ruined carpet?
Begin preparing your homemade pet odor remover by adding 2 cups of lukewarm water to an empty, clean spray bottle. You can use a glass jar to store extra odor remover and use it at your convenience. Continue adding the remaining ingredients of the pet odor recipe into the same bottle. Using a spray bottle will allow for quick, easy use on a multitude of surfaces such as carpets, tile, fabrics and bedding.
Don’t punish your cat for inappropriate urination. Instead, attack the problem systematically by first eliminating any residual odors with a strong enzymatic cleaner. This will prevent your cat from continuing to urinate in the problem area. The next step is to find the origin of the behavior and solve the problem at the source.
Charlie gave his sons one piece of advice, “always treat your customers the way you would expect your mother to be treated, and you will have happy customers”, and so we have always kept this close to heart when providing services to all our customers.
A: Remove mildew odor from carpet by drying the air in the room and removing the mildew itself. The process requires removing the carpet and taking it to a sunny area for several days. Kill any remaining mildew spores by spraying with dilute hydrogen peroxide and drying the carpet.
I wanted to take a minute to personally thank you for this pet urine odor remover solution. After many (failed) attempts at removing my dog’s pee odor from the carpet, with other pet products, I can honestly say that your method has become my go-to solution.  Read all Testimonials
I received a personal email from the founder and CEO of this company thanking me for the review and offering a free bottle on the house. This is a small, family run business and I can not express how important it is to support these types of companies.

Thanks Patsy, even though this is a method I have used successfully over many years when my dogs have had the occasional accident, it is always good to receive affirmation from a professional, thanks again for leaving a comment, Alison
The Washington Post have published an article about the dangers of various pesticides and other related chemical products that owners often use at home and forget that their dogs may come in contact with this. Always look for products that are safe for your dog, and better yet, purchase products made with as many natural ingredients as possible.
My mother has a cat who gets angry at her when she travels, so whenever mom gets back from a lengthy trip or even a night away, she comes home to numerous pee stains. She had tried everything, from Nature’s Miracle to calling in COIT carpet cleaners to OxyClean. These all worked a little bit, but on the next trip, the cat would be back to her old tricks, in many of the same places, urinating to show her displeasure. It got so bad that mom’s entire house started to smell like cat pee, and close friends would mention the smell when they came to visit.
And sodium acetate really wont do anything to anything at that concentration either, it’s far too diluted in the mixture to actually do anything. The only thing you could argue is putting the baking deep in the stain then pouring the vinegar over it. It could lift some of the stains away from carpet fibers, but the actual chemistry of mixing the ingredients WONT do anything. You are cleaning it with basically nothing but water.
Uric acid is not water-soluble and it bonds tightly to whatever it’s in contact with. It can’t be removed with soap, vinegar, baking soda, or hydrogen peroxide – all of which are commonly recommended for removing cat urine. While these solutions can temporarily remove the smell and even appear to be effective, they ultimately don’t break down the odor-releasing uric acid. As this uric acid lingers, it can continue to release the urine smell for years. This persistent odor, while not always detectable by the human olfactory sense, may cause your cat to return to the area repeatedly, perpetuating the issue
Thanx, I’m going to try this for my clothes. My bedroom door doesn’t have a knob but my cat comes and goes. But a week or so ago I couldn’t understand why she kept coming to me very early in bed. I just petted her and said go back to sleep. Here, what was going on, the dog was getting back at her by sleeping up against the door. So, she peed on my clothes that had been on my cedar chest but the dog had knocked off because he liked the cool feeling of the chest. She had been peeing on my hubbys shoes last year because she had a grudge against him lol.
A: Eliminate odors coming from the shower drain by eliminating the source of the odor. Hair, soap, body oils and everything else that goes down the drain leads to foul smells, and those things must come out for the smell to disappear.
Most reviewers love the smell, stating that it is not too overpowering, but nice, clean, and great for a fresh smelling house. Although most people enjoy the smell of this product, a select few say it is too strong and unpleasant. Some also claim the product does not work at all, saying you can smell oranges for a day or two and that, once that scent dissipates, the urine is back again.
Also in some of the cardboard boxes he & his brother like to play in. Marco doesn’t pee outside litter but Izzy(the demon brother),seems to take pleasure in it. I am in the process of washing beds with your formula. Any thoughts why he pees in his own bed?

My now deceased cat used to be very territorial and marked the perimeter of the house under the ground floor low windows in living room and dining room, presumably to deter raccoons, other cats, and possibly larger predators (we have coyotes, wolves, cougar, fishers, and bear around– so much to his dismay he was an indoor cat and had to defend his kingdom mostly from the inside of the house). Part of the flooring was marble so I could not use vinegar on that (vinegar eats marble, as does CLR). What I found helpful was powdered hydrogen peroxide diluted with a LITTLE bit of water to make a very strong hydrogen peroxide solution (use gloves). It is marketed under various labels including Oxiclean (or Oxyclean, not sure of the spelling). I also use it on soft furniture and on car upholstery as a spot cleaner. I also use it for washing the removable coverings of sofa cushions or clothes in my front loader washing machine for any places where he had “accidents”. However, you can NOT use oxiclean on silk, leather or rubber.
Compare that to PureAyre. It works on contact with the pet odor so you use less and you have a much shorter drying time. In fact, we discourage you from soaking an area with PureAyre because it’s just not necessary, and saturating an area can spread the urine contamination.
Try adding borax to the wash load – use up to a cup per large load but don’t overfill the load so that all of it can move around well. Sometimes you will need to do more than one wash. Don’t dry until you no longer smell the urine or else it will set the smell.
3. When the area has dried or almost dried sprinkle a handful or two of baking soda over the soiled area. Mix half a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide with a teaspoon of detergent. Plain liquid dishwashing detergent like Palmolive is quite suitable. Do not use dishwasher detergent like Cascade.  Put on a pair of plastic gloves and slowly pour the hydrogen peroxide and detergent mixture over the baking soda. Work the dissolving baking soda into the carpet with your fingers or with a scrubbing brush. Allow the area to dry completely and then vacuum thoroughly.
If you happen to suffer from allergies or multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), you are sure to benefit from using Smelleze® because it does not emit any harmful chemicals and works by eliminating smells rather treating them with additional chemicals which might cause you a problem.
This tool is universal and helps to remove the and odor of dogs pee. The most effective way is to buy the cheapest soap which does not have any additives or added smells. The best effect can be achieved if the soap is used immediately on the fresh dog pee. Soap is also one of the best removals of bacteria and dirt from the textile surfaces.
Odors caused by decomposition often require specific steps for removal. Organic materials immediately begin to decompose after death, and while that is a completely normal process, it can cause an overwhelming concentration of malodorous compounds. This means that store-bought diluted solutions may not be powerful enough to eliminate smell.
With any problem in life, you have to attack the source before treating the symptoms. Your decision to own this type of animal is the main source, the actual cat being second with their toilet being the third main source. After having a lot of self reflection on why you chose to own an animal that stalks you as if you were a gazelle and inevitably will latch onto the back of your leg while going for the achilles tendon to bring you down is the first step to solving cat pee problem. Then we move on to see if said cat is healthy and using the litter box. Finally we have to attack the actual cat toilet. Even when litter is scooped, it still holds the smell of cat pee. I change out my cat litter every 2 weeks and sometimes more. This means dumping the entire cat box into a black trash bag and then taking lysol to wipe the interior and exterior. This will help substantially in getting rid of cat pee smell. Again, attack the source, not just the symptoms.
You can buy washable ones on different sizes off Amazon. I did this 5 yrs ago when we got out puppies an put them by out back door. Even though they go out right before we go to to bed, theres still times one or the other will pee on it 2 or 3 times a week late at night or of im gpne to long during the day. They’re 5yrs old now. I just wash one at a time with only vinegar an air dry while I put the other down. Well worth the $$
Since getting my first pup, I have encountered her peeing everywhere. My solution to get odor out is to spray the spot with a bug spray, not only does it stop her from going back to the spot it also takes the odor out. Seems the bug spray is stronger than urine, the smell goes away in a couple of minutes but, stays longer enough for her to smell and leave it alone, I used Hot Shot flying insect spray. It’s harmful because the dog won’t go near it.
