The enzymatic action of this cleaner makes short work of even crystallized urine. Keep in mind that “short work” in this instance isn’t an instant solution, but if you’ve got to deal with truly nasty build up an overnight soak can often take care of things.
The PrideBites Personalized Step-In Dog Harness comes in a wide variety of colors and can fit dogs weighing up to 75 pounds. It’s durable and easy to put on, but is it worth the price? Find out all of the details in this extensive product review.
Turn out the lights and close the curtains to block out as much overhead light as possible. Shine the black light over the carpet and any biological material will come to light, highlighting the area where your pet urinated.
Let this sit while you go get some paper towels or a cleaning rag to blot up the liquid. When you’ve finished blotting up as much as will come up, cover with a towel until dry or dry enough to tell whether or not you’ll need to repeat these steps again.
The first solution most people try is a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Mix a cup of white vinegar, two tablespoons of baking soda, and a cup of warm water then apply it to the stain while the whole mixture is still bubbling.
Before you use any products on furniture, it’s best to disassemble as much as possible. Remove pillows, blankets, slip covers, or any other materials so you can vacuum or treat areas separately and thoroughly.
Claire, thanks for the helpful recipes for these natural carpet cleaner/deserters. I just used the vinegar water baking soda concoction in my carpet cleaner and it worked really well. Keep email comin!
If you do not have any spray bottles you can do the same procedure using the towel or piece of textile. If we want to achieve the best possible result we should make sure that the spot will get completely dry. When you will be sure that the spot is completely dry you can carry on and wash it with warm water and detergent.

We provide odor removal vendor service for auto dealerships and private party vehicles of all kinds. We remove odors from tobacco, cigar, marijuana, vapes, pet, mildew, and more that even the best detailers leave behind.
We also know that every pet owner has experienced the embarrassment of their furry friend greeting a guest with a less than welcoming scent. We know the frustration of walking into a room and smelling that Fido mistook the carpet for the grass. At OdorKlenz we understand that even the best pets bring some extremely unpleasant odors into our homes and lives. We don’t judge the odors; we just get rid of them safely and effectively!
I have two cats. One male and one female. My male is just over a year old. He was born feral. I have had him from about 8-10 weeks of age. He had few accidents in the first couple of weeks but that eventually stopped. My female is only a week six months of age. She was litter box trained when I brought her home but still had accidents for the first couple of weeks. She has stopped. I have had cats almost my entire life so I know that when a male sprays the smell is stronger. That being said, my male has started spraying again. Most of the time I catch him in the act because he seems to be doing so out of anger. Most of the time it seems to be on my bedding (pillows or blankets). I am able to take those things to a washer and clean them with vinegar and/or baking soda and the smell is gone. My problem is that he is spraying in some other spot within my small living space. I cannot clean it because I cannot distinguish where he is spraying. Is there a way to mask the smell while i continue to try to clean a possible areas? I clean their litter box as often as possible (believe me they let me know if I am slacking) and I am sure that the smell is not coming from that.
Vacuum floors and upholstery. Dirty carpets and furniture can harbor bad smells that make your living areas stink. To remove dust and smelly particles, vacuum all the carpets in the house with a wide brush attachment. To remove dusty and musty smells from furniture, vacuum all upholstered furniture using an upholstery attachment.
I read through all the comments and was definitely enlightened. Thanks for all the information. Although if Jenn refuses to snip snip…then that’s her choice, why do we become so angry when someone has an opposing opinion of our own?
