“cat urine carpet shampoo clean cat urine smell”

Commercial cleaners offer a ready-made solution and generally, when they don’t work properly it can be attributed to user error in some fashion. Make sure you read the instructions and if you have to take multiple runs at the mess then switch up tactics a little bit until you’re able to take care of it.
Baking soda. With baking soda you won’t have any residue or lingering scent. Baking soda is clean, safe, deodorizes, and is quite effective at removing odors. Sprinkle baking soda liberally over the carpet then take a broom or carpet rake (or something similar) and gently work the baking soda down into the carpet. Allow this to sit on the carpet for hours, over night, or even a couple of days if possible. Vacuum thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.
Yes! This formula is optimal for organic (protein-based) stains. Protein-based stains include human stains such as blood, vomit, feces and semen. It is also great for pet stains. The product may also be used as a pretreatment step on sheets, pillowcases, towels and linens prior to a normal laundry wash. The pretreatment step will boost the removal of food stains such as gravy, spaghetti sauce, red wine and chocolate syrup during laundering.
PureAyre works. It is the most effective pet odor eliminator you can buy. Yet PureAyre is also safe, comprised of food-grade enzymes in purified water. PureAyre does not contain bacteria, alcohol or citrus. You can spray it directly onto your pets and onto their bedding. You can use it around the elderly, young children, and people with respiratory problems.
That’s why we need the best cat urine remover for the job. But choosing a urine remover depends on lots of factors, considering you and your cat’s interest, the material that you’re going to apply on, and others.
I need some help. One of my cats had peed on the carpet and I didn’t about it until it was almost dried up. I have already done a treatment of white vinegar. Saturated the area and sprinkled baking soda on top of it to absorb. I cleaned it up after the baking soda turned brown, about 24 hours later. Still noticed it smelled of urine and put more baking soda on the area for 24 hours. More brown showed up and vacuumed it up. I took some soap and warm water to scrub the area and laid more baking soda down. I feel like did some of the cleaning half right. Any guidance on what I have done so far would be wonderful. Thank you.
Here at Chem-Dry, we love our pets. They brighten up our day and they’re always there to support us, through thick and thin. However, they can make it a real challenge to keep your home clean, healthy and smelling fresh when pet accidents occur.
I’ve used the vinegar/water cleaner, followed by hydrogen peroxide/baking soda procedure for the last several years. We have three labs, and had two cats (one of whom is no longer with us). The process worked well for stains AND odor. Actually, doing the carpet AGAIN as we speak!
Eew, that smell is right! I’ve had a few stains in some rugs around the house which I’ve tried everything to get the smell out. The rugs are way to big to put in the washer and didn’t want to go through the hassle (or cost) of getting it professionally cleaned so I tried the Sunny & Honey spray and it truly is a miracle, well worth every penny for any other frustrated dog parents who are neat freaks like me!
I have been using the original Zero Odor for many years. It does the job for the humans in the house. This product is great for the pet population in the house. I highly recommend Zero Odor for Pets or people.
For odors in your refrigerator, it may be as simple as going through the contents and removing old and smelly foods. That being said – if the old or expired food items or spills haven’t been cleaned up and have been in the fridge for a long period of time – you may need to take everything out and give it a good cleaning.
Keep it clean. Most of us rinse/wash our dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher, so when I’m done removing food and ready to use the disposal, I squirt a little dish soap in the disposal and let it run an extra minute or so.
Add 4 tablespoons of baking soda to your water and vinegar mixture. Baking soda naturally removes and absorbs odor. It also provides deep cleaning for stains that are set within the carpet, fabrics, furniture or bedding. The baking soda may to brighten the carpet, removing the sight of the urine, feces or blood stains.
Treat the soiled area with a stain remover. You can either use a commercial product or make your own stain-removing solution using common household products. See below for instructions for both cleaners.
Also, try to remove your shoes at the door to avoid bringing into the home the smells that cue “OK to pee here” response. I found that my dogs had more accidents right after professional steam cleaning because the padding released additional urine smell, again the cue. We went with hardwood and area rugs and close the doors to bedrooms that still have carpet. Crate a night. Happy life.
Remove pet accidents from carpet: Mix 1 part water, and 3 parts vinegar. Let it soak for 30 minutes. Mix 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide, 2 teaspoons of baking soda, and a squirt of dish-washing liquid. Shake it well. Spray, and let it soak/dry.
Some of our furry friends only occasionally slip, whereas others urinate on the carpet more frequently — especially older pets. These smells contain a strong ammonia odor that can stink up the entire home.
The below list provides five most popular options for the best pet odor eliminator that will do the job well in removing urine stains as well as urine smell from your carpet, sofas and other furniture and surfaces. Make sure to read other pet owners’ reviews to find the best fit specifically for your Fido and your household, since not all of them are identical.
2. Mix a solution of fifty percent white vinegar and fifty percent water. You must use an enough amount of this solution to reach the carpet fibers deep down. Work the solution in with a scrubbing brush to ensure it penetrates the carpet fibers below. Now blot the area again using the paper towel. The vinegar will neutralize the ammonia of the urine. If you own a wet/dry shop vacuum use that to remove excess moisture.
4. Boys Bathroom – The stinkiest place in our house is our boys’ bathroom, hands down. It’s the bathroom of choice for all three of my boys and all of the neighborhood kids who spend most of their time hanging out here. It’s definitely well used, and no matter how often it’s cleaned, it always has a lingering “boy smell.”  After the boys cleaned up the bathroom, I sprayed a good amount of Stinkers! on the rugs and shower curtain and gave the entire room a quick spray. The Stinkers! worked SO well at getting rid of the funky bathroom smell that even after a week the room still smells fresh! I’ll be storing my bottle of Stinkers! underneath their bathroom sink from now on so that it’s always handy and convenient!
There should be plenty of flooring dealers and installers in your city. I’d suggest getting recommendations directly from friends and family (Facebook works great for this), or by browsing the reviews within the Flooring or Carpeting categories on Yelp.
It does not discolor. You can safely use the product on majority of fabrics without risking discoloration. Harsh chemicals is what causes these issues, and those would be dangerous to dogs as well (thereby marking a product not pet-friendly).
In particular, the thing you need to deal with – aside from hiding the smell from your nose, is hiding the smell from the dog’s nose. Some detergents react, and will hide it from you but the dog will still know it’s there, and may use that spot again.
I first learned of this product via a weekly cat news letter that is written by a vet. The story she told of this product’s efficacy impressed me so much that I just had to at least try it, as it sounded too good to be true. It is TOTALLY effective and is the only product I use. It’s SO effective that my visitors are amazed that I have 4 cats, live in a year-round humid climate, and have carpet. Every cat family should have this product in their home. The other added benefit is that it can be safely used around pets (don’t spray directly on pets).
