“cat urine enzyme +best way to eliminate cat urine smell”

I ran into a problem with my one dog going pee in the house and I knew something was wrong because I let her out every hour. So I ended up taking a urine sample to the vet and she had crystals in her urine which causes great pain in their bladder. The vet said it was like little pieces of glass in her bladder. I am treating her with Crananidin and Cosequin every other day because when so took it every day her poop was like soft serve ice cream. Works great no more pee in the house. Consult you vet for proper dosage. Nutramax pharm.
@Johnny Our vet said that incontinence would occur in little dribbles as opposed to her squatting and peeing a bladder full, which is what’s happening. Anyhow, you may want to post your comment as an answer. Thanks! – glenviewjeff Mar 17 ’14 at 3:10

Hey, this may be a bit late for the one commenter talking about pee soaked plywood subflooring but maybe it can help someone else in the future. After treating plywood with vinegar, bleach, whatever else, let it dry thoroughly and then use Killz primer on it. Do a couple of coats. This will seal the plywood and hel prevent any residual urine smell from coming up through new carpeting.
Hello! These have been wonderful solutions to my cat problems, but curious as to why apple cider vinegar is NOT used on the carpet, especially if its dark carpet, (if someone is concerned about leaving a brown stain on lighter carpet, if any?). I do use a white vinegar water solution with it being more water than vinegar. Have you ever used apple cider vinegar in the solution for carpets?
By the way… I have a cat who pees on laundry if it is left on the floor… the littler box can be completely clean & she is in perfect health she is just a dominant cat and this is her way of saying that something is out of place and needs to be corrected (yes, I still consider her a good cat, she has a valid reason for what she did, lol!).
Any parent or pet owner has dealt with the unfortunate task of cleaning urine “accidents” from the floor and carpet. It is a natural occurrence when potty or house training and when the child or pet are sick. Carpet cleaners can be pricy and can stain expensive rugs.
Just like in the human world, so many unwanted feline behaviors can be explained by stress. urination is no exception. Cats commonly urinate outside the litter box because of unhappiness and anxiety over changes in the home environment, restriction of their natural behaviors, abuse, or unpleasant dynamics with other cats. If your cat recently started exhibiting this behavior after something in the home changed, it’s probably because of stress. Take a close look at your cat’s surroundings and determine what could be stressing them out, then neutralize those issues as best you can. Offering your cat a safe space to hide out or a tree from which they can overlook the home can help them to de-stress.
Try storing your shoes temporarily in a closed bin to see if the odor goes away. Try replacing your pillows and using zippered pillow covers, which you should wash every week along with your sheets. Try washing the mattress pad, blankets and other bed coverings.
