“cat urine odor removal spray _what to use for urine smell”

You can create your own pet odor remover with ingredients that may be in your pantry. Pet parents may find that their sweet fur babies have decided to relieve themselves in various parts of the house. The stench of pet urine and feces that soak into your carpet and furniture can overwhelm your home quickly. Cleaning your pets accidents immediately is essential to preventing odor. Begin by absorbing urine with paper towels before cleaning.
The urea and urobilin/urobilinogin are not hard to clean. Urea, urobilin/urobilinogin, creatinine and the pheromones are water soluble (urobilin is the pigment that causes the color). Traditional household or carpet cleaners will deal with these, and this is why hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and/or baking soda also appear (initially) to be effective at eliminating the problem. But the problem has not been solved! Uric acid and its salts have been left behind. Uric acid is not water soluble and bonds tightly to whatever surface it touches.
Freshening up a room is a real Febreze. A few squirts around the room and odors are spritzed away. When I change the bed linens I spritz a shot of Febreze between the layers of sheets and blankets as it makes it a pleasure to get into bed.  see moreof hillguy802102014’s review

Does anybody have suggestions for removing cat odor from wood floors that have been peed on? We have sanded 1/4 inch off and resealed but it still permeates. I think we will have to kilz and cover. It is the most vile smell ever. I don’t even have cats and cannot get rid of the aroma. It makes me want to vomit. I have tried all of the enzymatic cleaners, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, bleach and mouthwash solutions. At this point, I am just wanting to cover up the smell to make it tolerable to live in in the meantime. Help!
Have a steam cleaner with an upholstery attachment. When my cat peed on my bed I added oxygen to the cleaning solution (after making sure it wouldn’t cause a reaction I wasn’t looking for) and steam cleaned the mattress. It worked.
This powerful formula gets rid of urine odors set-in carpet, walls and fabrics. It’s strong enough to tackle skunk odors as well as household garbage cans, commodes, refrigerators and more. Can be used in carpet cleaning equipment, sprayers and washing machines

Also anecdotal, but I’ve had the best success with Simple Solution. It works really well at getting out both the stain and the smell, and even works on older, set stains. (Though you may have to apply twice in those situations.) – Roger Mar 17 ’14 at 14:31
We live in the foothills (rural) and there are a few feral cats in the area that are fighting for territory. I was very used to seeing spray spots all over my tires. One day I got in my pickup which I don’t drive all that often and it wreaked of cat pee. After research I pulled up the drive side mat and the carpet was SOAKED with cat pee. I always keep the windows close and upon further research I determined that it appears the urine is being sprayed from under the bottom door seal? Is this possible? With how much upward force/flow can a Tom spray his urine?
If you have a puppy, an elderly dog, or a dog still mastering their potty training skills, you’ve dealt with pee in the house. Depending on what surface they go on, and how long it sits before you find it, that stubborn dog pee smell can really stick around! But it doesn’t have to.
You may have to use this on the same stain a couple of times before it comes up completely. Some unhappy customers say not to expect miracles from the product, claiming it did nothing in the way of helping lift their carpet stains. Other unsatisfied reviewers mentioned the odor of this solution was too strong or unpleasant.
Love this thanks.. however what is the ratios for using it in the carpet cleaner?? I have three dogs and the youngest one who isnt so young anymore likes to go where ever she wants so now the others are following suit!!
Fortunately, the budget cost doesn’t seem to have had too much of a hit to its efficacy. This stuff works. You’ll be able to handle most stains and odors simply, just spray it down, give it some time to work, and then finish the job.

Why is the kitty in the dog house? It wasn’t the kitty’s fault. As the pet parent, YOU are responsible for the kitty’s behavior. Is kitty ill? Does she have a UTI? Do you interact with the kitty in an appropriate fashion? Do you exercise kitty and clean it’s litter box at appropriate times? Did you bring another cat into the house? If so, does each kitty have it’s own cat box and are they located in a secure and private place for kitty? Do you have kids? How do they treat the kitty? There are a thousand reasons why kitty would “mark” your furniture and 99.99% of those reasons are directly in response to it’s environment… which is 100% the responsibility of the pet parent…you. BTW, I am trying out this mixture tonight. I will comment later on how effective it is. Thank you.
Step 1: Create a vinegar cleaning solution consisting of one part white vinegar to one part water. Vinegar neutralizes the ammonia smell of urine without fading carpet fibers, making it a good choice for cleaning and protecting your carpet.

Others believe the most powerful weapon in the fight against odor elimination in carpets, couch cushions, mattresses and linens is an enzyme-based cleaner that can be found at local pet stores. The enzymes in these products actually break down the acid in cat urine, helping to get rid of the smell at the same time. These cleaners contain natural enzymes and helpful bacteria to get rid of the bad bacteria causing the unpleasant odors.
Most cleaners and odor removers work their best if you attack the problem as soon as it happens. The quicker you get to the disaster the better off you’ll be. Enzymatic solutions are particularly useful this way since fresher material will find the material more “palatable” in the immediate aftermath.
Hi, so we got 2, 3 month old, kittens about a month ago. Initially they had zero trouble finding and using the litter box. I decided to try to potty train them. I’ve done quite a bit of research on it but despite reading several articles that say not to rush them, I thought my cats were smarter than others 🙂 I was wrong! I have now realized the error of my ways and feel that I have made many many steps to correct my errors. My biggest issue was changing from the old-school cat litter to the flushable wheat kind too fast. I have given up on even trying to potty train until I can get both of the kittens to use the litter box every single time. I think it is only one of the cats that is having any trouble, but he either pees or poops near the litter box or he pees in my bedroom in the corner. I have tried several cleaning solutions but I’m planning on using your recipe today to completely rid the smell. If I am able to get out the urine smell, is that enough to deter him from using it again? Or do you have any other suggestions? I clean their litter box out twice a day and I did some research and found that some cats don’t like a lot of litter in the litter box, it gives them a quicksand feeling, so I have a small pan next to the larger one with only a small amount of litter in it. I still came home from work last night to find poop in the bathtub next to the litter box. Please help!! Thank you!!
After applying vinegar to the pee spots and sucking it up with a wet vac…the spots where vinegar was applied shine bright yellow under black light. Does that mean the vinegar created a worse problem? Or that the pee is still there? Any ideas?
Hi Mary. Question: I have black oriental rugs which have been doused with cat urine. Will the peroxide fade them? As expensive as they are, I am afraid to try without an opinion. Thank you. Lynn in FL [email protected]

Cats spray (mark walls and vertical surfaces) to mark their territory or when they feel threatened. If it’s spray we’re talking about instead of regular pee (a wet pool on the floor), you’ll need to treat the psychological reasons for the cat’s anxiety.
Purchase a repellent spray if your pet keeps urinating in the same area. There are a variety of sprays available for different types of pets, such as dogs and cats. Search for one that fits your household needs (such as being safe for use in houses with children) and won’t damage your particular type of carpet.
Vacuum. Your pet can leave a smelly trail as they wander around your house. This trail might include stuff like fur, dander, mud, and traces of urine or feces. To remove these odor sources, vacuum your entire house.[1] Use special attachments when necessary, and don’t forget to vacuum:
Cushions and mattresses can be cleaned in a fashion similar to carpets. Soak the affected area of the cushion with water. Blot up as much of the cat urine as possible with a towel, then soak the cushion by very slowly pouring the enzyme cleaner on and around the affected area. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then squish out as much of the excess enzyme cleaner as possible before blotting with towels. If possible, leave the cushion outside as long as possible while it dries. Since cushions take days to dry, lay aluminum foil down before putting the cushion back, then put a second layer of foil over the top of the cushion to discourage your cat from peeing on the cushion posting this review, I actually convinced a man to marry me. I clearly missed my chance as a saleswoman because I can sell anything, even a life attached to me and the feline. My cat is going strong and still a narcissistic princess with a special place in my heart and hell.
Most enzymatic cleaners need to be kept on a wet area for several hours. However, some might use a different process, so be sure to read the instructions on the label. If you’re cleaning wool carpet, make sure the cleaner is wool-safe.
It gets rid of the smell and doesn’t make you sick in the meantime. Can’t seem to find it on line just yet. It’s a little upsetting me as the smell is absolutely tolerable. Help me find it PLEASE. Thanx.
