“how to remove pet odor +best cat odor remover”

Cat urine is not all that different from other animals’ urine, but what gives cat urine such a bad smell is that the urine is usually left unnoticed until it becomes a problem. Cats have a propensity to mark their territory outside the litter box, be it on the carpet or in hidden corners.  After a while, the bacterium in the urine decomposes and gives off an ammonia-like odor characteristic of stale old urine. The second stage of the decomposition process emits mercaptans, compounds that give skunk spray its characteristic bad smell. Older animals have kidneys that have lost some of their efficiency and, as a consequence, older animals tend to have the worst smelling urine.
There are a variety of reasons why felines bypass their litter box and urinate everywhere else in your home. If your cat is sick, has behavioral issues, is getting used to a new pet or child, or is protesting a dirty litter box, then she might opt to use your plush carpet or your new chaise lounge as a place to do her business.
•PROFESSIONAL STRENGTH – This is a Grade A, professional-strength odor neutralizer that binds to and absorbs odors at the molecular level! This pet odor and stain remover is commonly compared to Natures Miracle Stain Remover.
This stuff worked great!! Bought a chair at goodwill and my cat went right over and peed on it. Ugh…figured I was going to have to throw it away because it probably had been peed on before and that’s why the cat decided to mark it. Used this mixture soaked the chair and no odor at all! Same cat now sleeps in this chair. No more pee odor and no more cat wanting to mark his territory. : )
Vacuuming on a regular basis can do wonders too. Don’t forget to change your vacuum cleaner bag, a full dirty bag can cause dusty, musty odors. If you have a bagless vacuum, clean the dirt chamber often.
That’s the truth. After a year of fighting cat urine with the aforementioned ammunition, I surrendered and chose to replace the carpet and pad. If you choose this option, here’s the steps you need to take:
Odor Destroyer is the most powerful odor eliminator available! Eliminate stinky carpet smells like cat urine quickly and permanently. This is a product I will never be without. My cat pee’d on my carpet. After 5 steam cleanings with enzymatic cleaners it still smelled bad. I was to the point of tearing up the carpet and replacing the pad and carpet plus treating the sub floor with something when a friend recommended this. I used it last night, sprinkled it on, left a fan running over it overnight, vacuumed it up this morning and there is NO pee smell! Since my super power is my sense of smell this was amazing. My friend told me it may take several applications but it only took one. I did sprinkle a little more on and will leave it today. The only downside I see (and I think it’s because it’s in a high traffic area and I know several of my lovely offspring did walk on it) is that it tracked a bit and you need a really strong vacuum to suck it up, it goes deep into the carpet but that also means it gets where it needs to be. Very, very happy with this product.
Diana, that’s a really good question. What is the material? For canvas tennis shoes I’d try soaking them in hot water and a cup of OxiClean Versatile, then running them through once more on a hot setting and letting them air dry, preferably in the sun. For something like suede or leather, I would wipe down the surface of the shoes with a clean cloth and a mixture of white vinegar and water. I would clean the inner sole with an upholstery machine like the BISSELL Little Green ProHeat.
To do this well, OdorKlenz spent a lot of time in the lab to develop an array of safe and effective products specially formulated to eliminate the kinds of smells that can plague a household of animal lovers. Like all of our products, our entire pet odor line relies on earth minerals and do not contain any perfumes, dyes, or harsh chemicals because we also know that you care deeply about the safety of the cleaning products you use around your family. There is simply no need to try to outdo nature’s powerful ability to clean and deodorize.
Recommendations for home-made formulas to clean cat urine stains are widely circulated on the Internet, and typically include some combination of vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Of course, many people unfamiliar with the problem of cleaning cat urine stains simply try to clean up cat pee as they would any other stain, only to find out later it didn’t work. In fact, using traditional household cleaners on cat urine actually “sets” the stain. This makes the stain even more difficult to remove with proper enzyme cleaners.
When you have unpleasant stains and odors around the house, does your cleaner mask them with perfume? Clorox® Urine Remover actually breaks down urine to eliminate odors. And its powerful cleaner removes stains. Clorox® Urine Remover works on both stains and odors and is specially formulated for hard-to-clean porous and soft surfaces.
I would like to thank you for this amazing remedy! I have two male dogs that were having a marking war in my living room and I like everyone else here had used countless products to get rid of the smell to no avail. The final straw was today when I cleaned my carpets and could smell nothing but the urine smell in that area. Then I looked up “natural home remedies for pet stains” and came up with your website. The solution of peroxide and dish detergent on top of the baking soda hasn’t even dried yet and my house smells WONDERFUL again. I will no longer be to have people over to hang out!!

Apply another towel and absorb the cleaner. After soaking the spot with cleaning, follow the same procedure as with the first absorbing, and put a fresh towel over the enzymatic cleaner to absorb it and thoroughly cleanse the area. Weight the towel with a heavy object and leave it alone.
I first tried normal Bissel carpet shampoo, thoroughly wetting, sucking up, and re-wetting the carpet many times in the same setting and it did nothing to remove the odor. Next I bought the Hoover Petplus 2x odor remover solution, which also did absolutely nothing to help the smell. They left virtually no odor masking perfume smell once the carpet fully dried, but didn’t remove the urine odor either.

Do not use Hydrogen Peroxide that is higher in concentrate than 3%. Bleaching may occur on some carpets with a stronger solution. Read the label on the Hydrogen Peroxide carefully. The label will state the strength.
Get professional cleaners on it. They should have lots of ways of getting rid of the smell. In the meantime, take your cat to the vet. Cats with bladder infections will usually pee everywhere but the litter box.

Bubba’s calls their enzyme cleaner “the pet stain and odor TERMINATOR” because it destroys stubborn urine smells for good. It eats away urine bacteria to prevent re-marking. You can spot-treat with Bubba’s, or add it to a load of laundry to wash dog bets and blankets stained with pee.
A: Many cooks suggest that opening the windows as one way to get rid of cooking odors while preparing meals. There are also other options, such as brewing coffee, baking something aromatic, making a simmering potpourri and leaving out a bowl of vinegar to eliminate fish odor, onion odor, garlic, cabbage and a variety of other smells that tend to linger after cooking.
Huge fan of Genesis 950 for removing pet stains. I have an older dog who struggles to get outside. Because of this, I have had issues with odor more so than the visible staining. The carpet is kind of a cream color so you can’t always see the stains, or tell when they are there, but you can smell it after the dog has gone. The 950 has been the only thing to not just neutralize the odors, but also deodorize them. I can’t always stop the dog from going there, but I can at least get rid of the smell when it happens.
Yikes! I once had a foster that someone had fed a very bright red biscuit to…needless to say, I feel your pain. You can try just making a plain baking soda paste with some warm water, gently rubbing it into the stain (after any solids are gone and all traces liquid soaked up) and letting it sit for 15 minutes or longer, then follow with the vinegar rinse. If you haven’t try the above methods as well. I have found with throw up that it’s easy to overlook the fluid part and not soak it all up, which can really contribute to the stain, so I do whatever I have to to absorb it all before doing anything. Is it possible to switch your cats food at all? Are they throwing up directly after meals? If it’s right after meals, kitty may be gulping their food. They could also have issues with hairballs that cause vomiting. Well there’s quite a few reason they throw up really, but either way, I hope this helped some.
An independent laboratory recently conducted multiple tests of our P.U.R.T. process to determine its effectiveness in treating pet urine odors and stains. In tests against the most common odor sources found in dog and cat urine, this study found that P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.9% of pet urine odors from carpets. To go one step further, the study also tested Chem-Dry’s ability to eliminate the bacteria that can be found in pet urine. When used along with our HCE (Hot Carbonating Extraction) cleaning process and a sanitizer, the study found that P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.2% of the bacteria from pet urine stains in carpets.
I wanted to take a minute to personally thank you for this pet urine odor remover solution. After many (failed) attempts at removing my dog’s pee odor from the carpet, with other pet products, I can honestly say that your method has become my go-to solution.  Read all Testimonials
Wow. All I can say is, wow! I am amazed at how well this worked. I had given up hope on ever getting the urine smell from a large, expensive wool rug in our living room. It was dreadful no matter how many times we cleaned it, even with an industrial cleaning machine.  I cannot believe how fresh it smells now.  I wish I had found this years ago! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!
By wetting the carpet will sometimes “reactivate” the cat urine odor, making it stronger before it gets better. If you’ve treated three or more times, wait a few days to see what happens with the odor. Don’t treat again. Usually what will happen is one of two things: 1) The smell will be lessened but not completely gone, or 2) The smell will have gone completely away.
