“natural cat urine neutralizer remove urine stains in toilet”

Go ahead and replace the cover, then allow the area to air dry. A high-quality enzymatic cleaner will continue to consume odor sources until they’ve been completely eliminated. If after the first application, the odor remains, reapply after the surface has dried.
The enzymes also destroy the in the urine stain. This is something I personally have never smelled, our noses can’t, but while vinegar may rid the urine smell, it will not destroy the pheromones. Also because my husband owns a carpet store, I can tell you a lot of times people clean the carpet, but if the urine is still in the pad underneath, or the sub floor, they are chasing their tails (pun intended) you need to be sure the pad and floor are also cleaned with the enzyme cleaner.
If the area you are working with is the carpet, work the baking soda into the carpet fibers carefully with an old toothbrush or something similar, something that won’t damage the carpet fibers. And do be careful that you don’t pull or snag the carpet fibers.
After you’re done cleaning, shine a black light on a troublesome spot. It will show if cat urine is still present in the area. Sometimes it may seem like the urine is gone, but it can crystallize and stay present in carpet fibers. A black light shows the size of the stain that isn’t visible to the human eye or picked up by the human nose.
We have cabinets in our laundry room that the cats can get up under but we can’t get to them, the smell was awful, I mixed up a double batch of the recipe and took a bulb syringe, squirted it up underneath the cabinets and it worked like a charm… Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I was so upset, we just built this house and the smell was knocking me over everytime I walked in there. Thanks again for taking the time to post.
Thanks Patsy, even though this is a method I have used successfully over many years when my dogs have had the occasional accident, it is always good to receive affirmation from a professional, thanks again for leaving a comment, Alison

If you don’t remove all the urine odor, the scent of the urine will cause a cat to come back to use the spot again and again. Cats have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and even if you can’t smell their urine, they can.
Getting rid of the smell of cat urine from carpeting can be challenging, because it can soak right through the carpet fibers to the carpet padding. And since cats have a strong sense of smell, it’s important to clean and deodorize the area completely to prevent a return visit!
The same basic procedures apply for an old stain. But be aware that an old stain may require two or three full cycles of enzyme cleaner application (allowing it to completely dry between applications) in order to completely clean the stain.
Rubbing a cat pee spot to absorb the moisture only spreads the stink. Instead, get a cloth or paper towel and press down hard to get out any soaked-in urine. After you’re finished, leave another cloth or pile of paper towels on the spot to soak up more.
I had a cat that started ‘marking’ his territory on a couple of areas of carpet. After shampooing the areas several times with a product specifically made for pet odors… the smell lingered. I was intrigued by the many positive reviews of Odorzout, I decided to give it a try. WOW… I am hooked. What a wonderful product!!! A HUGE plus is that it is natural. Thank you.
Great article, we had to remove all the carpet in our home because the previous owners had dogs and our cats decided, this is our house and they marked everything. This include removing and replacing base boards. We are on a concrete slab so we used TSP then a product called odorxit. After the new floors, baseboards, also using a turkey baster needle to inject seal plate and studs with concentrate. We also used the odorxit on the sheet rock, plus repainted the whole downstairs. I can tell you the odorxit is not cheep, but it works. Another time one of our cats got left in the guest room and pee pee on the mattress. Ordorxit to the rescue. 3 applications it took, but no more cat pee smell. Once I run out, I will be buying more. They have another product called odorxit magic spray. Spray this over your kitty box fresh as anything, and the cats keep coming back to the box. I have no affiliation with this company, but I was at my wits end, and found them before they got big and got their product in Amazon and Walmart. The customer service were the nicest people I have talked to as well.
Commercial cleaners offer a ready-made solution and generally, when they don’t work properly it can be attributed to user error in some fashion. Make sure you read the instructions and if you have to take multiple runs at the mess then switch up tactics a little bit until you’re able to take care of it.
White vinegar is great to get rid of some odors, though it isn’t always effective against cat and dog pee. Used straight from the bottle or diluted with water, white vinegar will help neutralize pet urine odors, and it won’t leave behind a sour vinegar smell.
Well consider we clean our ears with peroxide and it can be used as a mouthwash. I don’t know the research but on our ears and in mouths and with a skunk smell do you really have a laundry list of options?
also be absolutely certain to avoid foods with HIGH magnesium and ash content, I’ve had numerous cats over the years, two at the same time from using no name cat food i’d bought from IGA/superstore/provigo/metro, chains in Canada and all associated. I didn’t realize by saving a few bucks it would cost me upwards of five hundred bucks to have the vet use a catheter to open up their urethras. If the concentration of ash and magnesium is too high, then often they wind up getting calcified pieces of chrystals in their urine which for a person, is tantamount to having small shards of glass /a cat will meow, painfully when urinating, sometimes as they are full of pee, they’ll go where they are at, check the spot, or leave ateeny amount of litter in their box, to avoid missing the blood. You can see the shiny glittery shards of calcified urine pieces, or if you’re not too squeamish(urine is sterile until it exits the body, just wash your hands after using a finger to run through the spot. Don’t punish them, this is like punishing a child for puking when they are ill. Take them to a vet, change the food to low ash/magnesium content, and once a week , allow the urine to get really concentrated, by removing their food bowls, not the water, just the food, and the system will purge itself and break up chrystals naturally. Just one day a week, let them go without food until night time, say fourteen hours. I know the crying will get to you but in the end they will be healthier for it people should give a certain quantity of food per day, dense food as well, such as no name iams, sameingredients, immense difference in price mother hubbards is one that sells it around a dollar or dollar and a half . If you switch, some cats develop this naturally, and have to be constantly purged. Anyways I hope this saves on vet bills, if your cat is already bleeding, it’s too late to do anything but see a vet, google humane societies for low cost vets, as vets tend to overprice, another thing, all prescriptions can and you should insist on a prescription/they have been known to charge up to 100% more on something you can pick up for your pet at a local pharmacy. I had to get phenobarbitol, which was at the vet, but she was a cat lover/animal lover, she suggested instead to get it at the pharmacy, which I did from then onward, valium is effective on cats or dogs having seizures, fyi, but you must verify weight online, at several different sites, also for agitation while taking roadtrips, vomitting, etc. Its a wonderful thing to have on hand but never give more than.25mgs of it. NOT 25 mgs. Thanks for your answers. I hope I have assisted you bookmark or copy and paste also one last thing, animals in particular, males, tend to get this calcificated urine particles, after they are fixed, or before, you need to clarify that, so if you get them fixed, go online to ensure what their diet should consist of remembering always, they are carnovores, so try to get (the ingredients are listed on the side, the most quantity to the least in that order)foods that contain mostly chicken, rice, etc, it’s the crap in the food the fillers that cause these sicknesses. Most vets won’t be happy when you tell them you are aware you can get same meds at a pharmacy, unless they are strictly for animals, to avoid the immense markup but they cannot refuse you. Not one time, you can put in a complaint that can cost them their license, they’d prefer to just give you the script.
For linens, blankets and cushion covers, add a ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar to any oxy-powered detergent powder, such as boric acid, and launder as usual. Also, leaving a deep glass dish of white vinegar standing in a room with an offensive odor usually takes the odor out of the air.
Assuming the pee has not saturated the padding underneath, I have used Odormute, for over fifteen years with excellent results. Originally, I was told by a local police that they use this product to remove the blood from cement at crime scenes. It is natural enzyme product and totally safe as far as I can tell and I am a fanatic about natural products. You will still need to use a cleaner on the carpet; nonetheless, the odor should be gone.
Clean food-related appliances. Any appliance that comes in contact with food can be a source of smells in your house, especially if there have been recent spills. If you’re not sure where the smell is coming from, clean all your food-related appliances, including:[8]
This stuff is seriously magic. I use this stuff for multiple pet stenches around the house including an anal gland incident. If you’ve never smelled anal glands….you’re lucky! Anyways, we had this little anal gland stain on the couch which I cleaned with actual cleaner but the smell remained! A few spritzes of this stuff and *poof* smell gone and still hasn’t come back after about a month. I also use this for when my cat goes #2 and doesn’t bury it well enough. I literally spray it in the litter box and in a few minute the stench subsides. 5 stars!
A: Bowls or buckets of water, freshly sliced onions, lemon wedges, vinegar and lemon or vanilla extracts are all good ways to get rid of paint odors. These methods generally work within a few hours or overnight, depending on the strength of the paint fumes.
This product is specialized for protein-based stains. It won’t work as well on soap scum, hard water and other types of bathroom stains. It is also not an EPA-registered disinfectant, which is often needed in restrooms.
Steam-clean old stains. A rented cleaner can produce steam that’s hot enough to sanitize the carpet, after which the water can be vacuumed up again. Alternatively, if the spot is particularly large or stained, you can hire a professional cleaner to manage it.
