The smell in the grout has not returned. I find some products mask the odor for a while, but this one is not a mask. The company owner told me that the formula separates the bonds of the molecular compounds that give off bad odors. There is a fresh smell to this product that lasts maybe a few hours. Then there is no smell at all.
Jenny, check out this article on Cleaning Wood Furniture on our sister-site. It talks about using vinegar and water, I think it’ll help you. Is it finished? Is there any way you can take it outside for a few days? Sunshine can work wonders on some odors.

While enzyme cleaners come in a spray bottle, spraying a light coat over the stain won’t do much. Instead, remove the sprayer and douse the spot liberally.  Let the cleaner sit for 10 to 15 minutes and blot up as much of it as possible with a clean cloth. To keep the cat from returning to the spot during the cleaning process, place a piece of aluminum foil or an aluminum baking sheet over the area, or cover it with an upside-down laundry basket. You may need to reapply the cleaner to the area and let it dry again for older or particularly odorous stains.

Cover the stain with paper towels or rags and walk lightly over or place something heavy on top to soak up any excess liquid. Sprinkle a generous handful of baking soda over the stain when no more liquid can be pulled up, and mix together ½ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 1 teaspoon of dish liquid. Slowly pour the solution over the stain and baking soda. Gently scrub the mixture into the carpet fibers with a scrub-brush or cloth, and then let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Vacuum the area thoroughly. tough stains, repeat the above steps.
It does have some shortcomings: this product works best on fresh stains. If you’re moving into a former hoarder’s abode with crystallized urine and ruined floorboards then it’s not going to be sufficient but if things are in decent shape right now and you want to keep them that way it’s perfect.

Clean the toilets. Toilets are another household fixture that can house mold, mildew, bacteria, and other stink-sources. Pour 1 cup (235 ml) of vinegar into the bowl. Spray down the outside of the bowl and seat with vinegar as well. Let the vinegar stand for five minutes. Scrub the inside of the bowl with the toilet brush, and wipe the outside of the bowl and the seat with rags or paper towels.[3]
Toni, depending on the size of the stain this may work or you may want to try a method that would penetrate into the rug pad. I use the BISSELL Little Green ProHeat. https://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-ProHeat-Compact-Mul…
