“remove dog pee smell from couch -eliminate dog urine smell”

Assuming the pee has not saturated the padding underneath, I have used Odormute, for over fifteen years with excellent results. Originally, I was told by a local police that they use this product to remove the blood from cement at crime scenes. It is natural enzyme product and totally safe as far as I can tell and I am a fanatic about natural products. You will still need to use a cleaner on the carpet; nonetheless, the odor should be gone.
Rocco and Roxie has an OxyClean product. This carpet cleaner gets out the toughest stains including my error of Angry Orange stains. Spray the product on any stain, let it sit for 5 minutes, and then start working on it with paper towels.
It seems that an elderly dog has little actual “decision” in becoming incontinent. In any case, I’ve had good luck with unscented “Hydrocide” at removing pet urine odors – you need to really saturate the carpet and the backing. After saturation, I let it sit for 15 minutes, then suck it back up with a shop vac then let the damp carpet dry. Works better for me than Nature’s Miracle and leaves no overpowering scent of its own behind. You might need to buy it from a professional carpet cleaning supply store. – Johnny Mar 17 ’14 at 2:02
Water damage odors generally have a mildew smell from wet building contents. And the longer a structure is exposed to moisture, the more powerful the odor becomes. Water damage situations such as toilet overflows or sewage backups only compound the odor problem.
Basically pink liquid is used usually but in case of long-standing stains of dog’s urine or very old stains we should prepare dark or almost black mixture of the potassium permanganate (we just add more of the crystals in the warm water).
Unlike enzymes, Odorcide 210 works fast on the worst urine, organic decay, feces, and mold and mildew odors with no dwell time and no danger to pets or people. Use it on carpets, canvas, clothing, floors, and walls. It’s also effective as a laundry soak or rinse, and as a surface spray.
We have old (like several months old) spots where our puppies have gone pee on the carpet. We have used a steam cleaner. The stains are gone, but the smell is still there in some spots. Any advice on how to get rid of the smell?
Hi, I was just wondering if you knew any ways to remove the smell of cat urine off something that cannot be easily washed – a laptop for example please ??? I have a new kitten who unfortunately decided to wee on something that was on laptop (to hide laptop from view of people outside) and it soaked through onto laptop (which still works). I have tried anti-bac wiping it (lemon scented) – and still stinks. It didn’t get into the laptop – just onto the surface of the lid.

2. Mix a solution of fifty percent white vinegar and fifty percent water. You must use an enough amount of this solution to reach the carpet fibers deep down. Work the solution in with a scrubbing brush to ensure it penetrates the carpet fibers below. Now blot the area again using the paper towel. The vinegar will neutralize the ammonia of the urine. If you own a wet/dry shop vacuum use that remove excess moisture.
Thanks so much for this! One of my cats peed on the carpet and it went unnoticed until the entire downstairs of the house smelled awful. I tried woolite spray which didn’t really work. Then I found your solution and it worked amazingly! Thanks so much!

There is a line that cannot be crossed when it comes to successfully decontaminating an area. It is critical that items that can’t be restored be removed and properly disposed of. If anything stays in the area that isn’t able to be thoroughly sanitized, leaving them can compromises the integrity of the entire area and poses health threats to anyone who comes in contact with the objects. Common items that may need to be discarded for safety might be couches, carpet, carpet padding, sub-flooring, and drywall. Each case is different and our cleanup team will determine what is appropriate for your specific circumstance and doing so will guarantee that safety has been restored.

Give your pet a bath. Pets love to play, which often means getting into messes. Regular bathing is a good idea for dogs and ferrets, and some other pets could use a wash now and then as well. Get your pet (and their favorite bath toy, if they have one) into a bathtub, wash basin, or bucket. Use a hose or bucket to wet your pet’s fur. Apply pet shampoo to the fur and lather it in with your hands until it’s nice and soapy. Rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of shampoo, and towel dry their fur. They should smell great, and look great as a bonus.
Clean the cage. If you have rats, mice, gerbils, ferrets, rabbits, and other pets that live in cages with bedding, the cage could be making your whole house stink. Gently remove your pet and place the pet somewhere safe, such as a second cage. Then, get to cleaning:
It does not discolor. You can safely use the product on majority of fabrics without risking discoloration. Harsh chemicals is what causes these issues, and those would be dangerous to dogs as well (thereby marking a product not pet-friendly).
I collect all my laundry water in a big plastic tub in the back yard, and it had come to stink also. I sprayed the tub with Skout’s Honor and the filthy smell was instantly gone. 2 months later, the laundry tub has developed that smell again, and I know how to get rid of it now.
I purchased a house and the previous owner had five indoor dogs and numerous others outside. I liked the carpet, it was plush and probably expensive for the previous owners to put in, but the odor was almost unbearable and their was a few really dirty high traffic areas. I tried everything on the internet, baking soda, vinegar, every shampoo out there and nothing work. I was going to get all new carpet and decided to try one more thing. I put granulated pool chlorine in the shampooer with a little carpet soap. Worked like magic. Not only did it COMPLETELY eliminate the pet odor, it also cleaned the carpet to like new. The Pool Chlorine is really strong so you have to open all your windows or it will make your eyes sting. It does not discolor your carpet at all. The stronger the solution the better. It also makes the carpet dry faster. The smell is horrible for about an hour or two but its well worth it. I have my own shampooer but I probably could have gotten it done faster with a rented one. If you are considering getting new carpet because of pet odor try GRANULATED POOL CHLORINE first.
