Different classes of bad odors, whether based in sulfur, nitrogen or oxygen, are specifically targeted by different types of Aveho. This means Aveho won’t get used up as quickly as baking soda or carbon, and has the potential to continue to eliminate bad odors as they are generated.  Aveho also won’t absorb most positive fragrances, if you choose to introduce them.  So if it’s “Pure Vanilla Joy” that you want, “Pure Vanilla Joy” is what you will get.

Uric acid is not water-soluble and it bonds tightly to whatever it’s in contact with. It can’t be removed with soap, vinegar, baking soda, or hydrogen peroxide – all of which are commonly recommended for removing cat urine. While these solutions can temporarily remove the smell and even appear to be effective, they ultimately don’t break down the odor-releasing uric acid. As this uric acid lingers, it can continue to release the urine smell for years. This persistent odor, while not always detectable by the human olfactory sense, may cause your cat to return to the area repeatedly, perpetuating the issue
It is great if you noticed the puddle immediately and started to clean up. But what should we do if the carpet is already dry and we need to get rid of dog pee smell? We should mix one cup of hydrogen peroxide with 1 tablespoon of dishwashing soap. Using the brush wash the spot properly. It is better to wash even a bit bigger surface than the spot itself.
Lately, some customers who were satisfied with the old product claimed that the new “odor control formula” turns out to be a fraud and it’s not good as the old one. They also changed the scent which might disappoint customers who like the old smell.

Our cat throws up….a LOT. we’re in a rental and moving at the end of August. I was thinking we’d lose our deposit because of these stains, but now I’m thinking maybe not!! Claire, thank you! I’m trying this right now!
This homemade urine stain remover works very well. Just bought a brand new Poang chair from Ikea and of course the first thing that the cat does is pee on it. I was SO upset because the cushions on those chairs are practically impossible to get back in. I did this treatment once and it lightened the stain but did not remove it. Do not put items in the dryer unless you are 100% certain the stain is gone! I soaked it the next day with half vinegar and half water and then did the treatment again after that. It’s finally gone and, though I’ve spent at least 4 hours getting the cushions back in, my chair is put back together. And kitty is in the dog house.
For concrete and other hard surfaces, you want to make enough of the cat urine remover to completely cover the stain. Pour or spray the solution on and let it soak, soak. Do not mop or wipe up. Let it sit for 24 hours depending on the humidity level, it will usually evaporate during this time. Repeat the treatment once a day for 3-5 days.
Here’s how to clean vomit from carpet. The acid in vomit can stain a surface fast, so wipe it up as soon as you can. Use a dustpan or scraper to remove the larger chunks. Blot with a towel to clean up the moisture. Mix a solution of 2 cups of warm water, 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap and 1/2 cup of vinegar. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the mixture and apply to the soiled area. Blot lightly. You may need to do this a couple of times to remove a tough stain. When the stain is gone, remove cleaner by putting a cloth dipped in clean water on the area. Blot dry with a towel.
Sally grew up in a feline-only home, but cat allergies in her early 20’s made it an easy transition to dog ownership. And she couldn’t be happier with her canine shadow, who’s been at her side (literally) for years. No longer a cat person for obvious reasons, Sally is now a true bone-ified dog lover.
Why cats choose to do certain things like eat houseplants, destroy fine china, sleep in cardboard boxes and very large shoes, and pee on $90 jeans is beyond human logic. That’s okay, because we don’t need to understand it. All we really need to understand is how to fix it. And clean it. Learn how to do that in this article. And please, if I’ve offended you with my less-than-favorable language towards felines leave a comment.
