“remove pet urine from mattress _pee smell out of carpet”

It is great if you noticed the puddle immediately and started to clean up. But what should we do if the carpet is already dry and we need to get rid of dog pee smell? We should mix one cup of hydrogen peroxide with 1 tablespoon of dishwashing soap. Using brush wash the spot properly. It is better to wash even a bit bigger surface than the spot itself.
Most enzymatic cleaners need to be kept on a wet area for several hours. However, some might use a different process, so be sure to read the instructions on the label. If you’re cleaning wool carpet, make sure the cleaner is wool-safe.
Using a blacklight. Because of its chemical properties, pet urine shows up under a blacklight, specifically its scent-creating chemicals even when the stain has been dried or are days old. Outline these area in chalk or mark then with a sticky note to help you clean then when you turn on the lights.
My cat peed down the floor heat register and I cannot get rid of the smell. I have used Natures Miracle by pouring it down the vent and then wiping with a long handled brush several times, but the smell is still there any suggestions?
The service told me they would come back out believe it or not – for a 3rd time. (Free of charge) They are sending someone else. I guess they are going to blacklight everything again and if nothing is showing up on the surface, they will perform some kind of moisture testing. Told me that if it is in the pad of the carpet they are able to pull up those areas and replace sections of the pad. Really hoping the carpet doesn’t need to go. Nothing is visible and it is certainly much better, but I am ready for my house to smell fresh again. (and be sanitary of course) Hopefully the third visit will be a charm. They have actually been very understanding – thank goodness.
Bleach may take the color out of your carpet. Before using any carpet cleaning product, it’s recommended to do a test spot first in an inconspicuous area before using the product on the entire carpet. A carpet cleaning professional might be the best option for dealing with tough, set-in stains.
Additionally, once a urine stain dries, you may no longer see it but you can still smell it, and so can your cat, leading him or her to re-mark the area. “When it comes to cleaning up cat urine, many cat owners make the same mistake—not cleaning it up quickly enough,” says Meg Roberts, president of Molly Maid, a residential cleaning company.
How to remove cat urine smell permanently. Simple recipe that works every single time using 3 ingredients you have at home already! Simply mix them up and spray the solution on the soiled spot and the smell will be gone! Works even if you previously used another cleaning solution on the stain!
If all else fails or you have many messes you might want to consider renting a rug doctor with upholstery attachment, upholstery cleaner, and odor removers. It can save a lot of stressing out and leaves the upholstery looking new.
To treat a mattress, use essentially the same process as for the couch cushion (you don’t need to remove the mattress from the bed!). Slowly pour the enzyme cleaner on/around the affected area, ensuring it has the chance to really soak in thoroughly. Let it sit for 15 minutes, and then blot up what you can with a lot of towels. Place several layers of clean towels over the area, and then make the bed. Just swap out those clean towels each day (if done properly it will take days to dry). To discourage peeing on the spot while the mattress dries, cover the bed with a large plastic sheet or tarp when you’re not using it, or take a large box, cut it down, and lay it over the top of the bed when you’re not using it.

Thank you Thank you Thank you. I spent my whole weekend cleaning my family room carpet with a carpet cleaning machine, about 3-4 times. Today it STILL smelled like urine. I tried the recipe and it worked GREAT. I put the vinegar/water mixture in my machine and went over the stinky area. My carpets are pretty dry after the machine sucks all the water up so I went right to the next step and a few hours later I am crawling around on my hands and knees trying to find the urine smell but it is nowhere to be found!!!! : )
If you have a puppy, an elderly dog, or a dog still mastering their potty training skills, you’ve dealt with pee in the house. Depending on what surface they go on, and how long it sits before you find it, that stubborn dog pee smell can really stick around! But it doesn’t have to.
Aveho can be used in a wide variety of applications. Aveho can be applied to fabric, upholstery, carpeting, absorbent materials, hard surfaces, and many other places. Due to the high capacity of Aveho to remove malodors, there is no need to over-spray or over-apply Aveho, as this may leave a residue.  Aveho is water soluble, and may be washed away or vacuumed when dry.

Finding the source of the smell is easily done using a black light. he urine will glow a fluorescent yellowish green color. Look on walls too, as high up as eye level. Sometimes cats can spray this far up. Urine has an enzyme which is not easily washed away. I have had great results with white vinegar, soap and water. The vinegar kills or removes the enzyme. (Carpeting may need extra shampooing with the vinegar, due to deep fibers holding onto urine.)
I have 2 older poms, Bear is 10 and had a bad time for several months of drinking every drop of water, several times a day and then constantly having accidents all over the house. And every time I took them out, he went a lot! First vet visit I was told that his urine was too watered to tell if he had any infection. Then told they wanted him brought back for expensive testing to check for cushings disease. Since I couldn’t afford $500-$1000 in testing medications, I decided to change their dry food to something more reputable. Since taking them off just 6 and on to nature’s balance then blue wilderness (slightly more affordable) Bear is doing great! Maybe 2-3 accidents in last 5 months! (That may have been my fault for not getting them outside for too long) I am not trying to talk bad about any vets or food labels, I just want to share this experience because it may be helpful to someone.
If you used paper towels in your poultices, be sure to seal them in a garbage bag and get rid of them as soon as possible, so that your pet doesn’t try urinating on them, or digging them out of the garbage.
I took in two street cats in 2006. They are excellent in grooming themselves and didn’t need any litter box training. One of the cats has a poop smell on his scruff while the other does not. I thought it may have been a temporary thing, but it is still very much there. Is there a natural way I can get rid of this odor, especially since it is directly located on cat’s scruff area? Thanks!
You may love your animals, but that doesn’t mean you have to love the way they make your house smell. A house that smells like pets can create all sorts of problems. You might be embarrassed to have people over, or spend less time inside. Don’t worry–pet odor is something you can tackle with a few simple actions and changes. They key is focusing on the source before addressing any lingering odors.
To remove cat urine and dog urine stains on carpet, mattresses and upholstery: Blot with a dry clean cloth or towel to absorb excess liquid. Spray directly onto stain until completely covered. Allow to stand for 3 minutes. Blot area with a clean damp cloth. Repeated applications may be necessary for heavy or old stains. Keep children and pets from contact with sprayed area until dry. Safe for all colorfast upholstery, fabrics and carpets, including stain-resistant carpeting. Do not use on silk or leather upholstery.
With your eyes watering and your nose plugged you go online to find a remedy. The Internet is home to the grand world of Do It Yourself or DIY. Stain removal is no exception. You find the household remedy that looks something like this:
However effective you are at spot cleaning those ‘little accidents’, there is always going to be a time when you want to clean the whole carpet. This could also be the case if you have moved into a new home where pets lived previously.
Your recipe for bulk says 1/2 tsp of dish washing liquid. Is this correct? Because it’s less than what a single recipe calls for. We’re using for a whole house. Previous owner had 16 cats :/ and 2 dogs. Thanks for the recipe!
I have four cats and have never had a problem with them urinating anywhere but in the litterbox until a few days ago we noticed the second bedroom had a smell! one of the cats urinated on the blankets/comforter on the bed we tried washing it with detergent and white vinegar but are having no luck! is there anything else I can try? I hate to throw them all out and replace them would baking soda help? we have washed them several times now with no luck.
To remove odors from sponges, you can run them through the washing machine or the dishwasher on the top rack. You could also soak them in one gallon of water and 2/3 cup of household bleach. Not only will this get rid of odors smell but it will also help to get rid of germs. Kitchen sponges should be changed often, regardless of how well you think you are sterilizing them.

Freshening up a room is a real Febreze. A few squirts around the room and odors are spritzed away. When I change the bed linens I spritz a shot of Febreze between the layers of sheets and blankets as it makes it a pleasure to get into bed.  see moreof hillguy802102014’s review
