“remove pet urine odor from carpet -urine stains out of carpet”

I collect all my laundry water in a big plastic tub in the back yard, and it had come to stink also. I sprayed the tub with Skout’s Honor and the filthy smell was instantly gone. 2 months later, the laundry tub has developed that smell again, and I know how to get rid of it now.
Try this super product from Nature’s Miracle that contains no phosphates and is designed for use with any brand of machine you have for cleaning your rugs and carpets, provided that it is of the water-based type.
We recently bought a repurposed cabinet made out of old barn wood. Once we got it home we really think it may have been sprayed. They had two cats where they live. I can’t see where the damage is. How do we clean this without ruining the barn wood
Large volumes of concentrated alkaline salts and strong odors that come from bacteria feeding on the waste products contained in the urine can make professional cleaning necessary. The alkaline salts can create a very high pH environment (10 – 10.4) and destabilize normally stable dyes that cause bleeding. This is very difficult to address without steam cleaning and specialized cleaner.
If the accident just happened quickly absorb it from the carpet with toilet paper…keep rolling up paper and stepping on it over the accident until it’s dry. Re wet the stain with febreeze and again lift it up with toilet paper. Then pour baking soda over the spot…let it dry overnight. You will see the urine comes up into the baking soda…why? I have no idea…when it’s dry..scrape it up ( I use the back of the dustpan brush) sweep it up into a dustpan and thoroughly vacuum. Voila..stink and stain gone. If it’s old..this will not work.
Use your nose to determine where the pungent smell is coming from. Once you find the item that is causing the odor, clean it with hot soapy water, using an antibacterial cleaner or detergent like Dawn dish soap.

Thanks justmesuzanne, but I haven’t found any odor problems after treating the area promptly with just vinegar and baking soda. Listerine is a good tip (apparently this product was first invented as a floor cleaner and only later became a mouthwash!!). I would definitely recommend checking that it has no effect on the color of the carpet by testing in an inconspicuous area first though.
Whether it be from pet urine or a spill, once you have thoroughly removed all residue and think you have it all, place several layers of white paper towel on the freshly cleaned wet area. Next, weight the paper towel down. I use a large piece of ceramic/porcelain tile, and let it sit for about 48 hours. You will be amazed at what dries up into the paper towel instead of drying in the top fibers of your carpet.
Pet odor eliminator reviews from pet owners: “We just moved into a house where there was some old urine dog stains left from the previous people, and I went looking for the best product to remove it. There was a spot on our landing that was particularly bad, the….”
A: The first step in removing the odor of burned food is to open the windows; this lets air circulate. The fresh air comes in, helping the burnt smell fade away. There are several other options that move the process along. A burnt smell is typical when food is seriously overcooked.
Assuming the pee has not saturated the padding underneath, I have used Odormute, for over fifteen years with excellent results. Originally, I was told by a local police that they use this product to remove the blood from cement at crime scenes. It is natural enzyme product and totally safe as far as I can tell and I am a fanatic about natural products. You will still need to use a cleaner on the carpet; nonetheless, the odor should be gone.
The best way for a homeowner to perform simple odor removal is with a readily accessible substance. Homeowners have been getting rid of foul smells with home remedies for decades. While these substances are easy to apply to the carpet and are effective for smaller jobs, they aren’t feasible for more extensive problems. Also, they don’t typically eliminate the cause of the scent but cover it up instead. This just masks the health hazard in the room and so it remains a threat.
Pet odor eliminator reviews from pet owners: “There was a mystery stain that showed up in an extra bedroom that looked so questionable I didn’t even want to stick my nose in it… (I have 3 adult dogs, 1 puppy and 1 cat). I sprayed some Rocco on the spot, left…”
Choose a remover with a nice smell that suits both you and kittens. I really like an odor remover that has a mild fragrance, not those fake products that use overly strong smell to cover the odor. I don’t mean all products that have a strong smell are fake but you should be careful when testing Fake ones will only fool your nose with a stronger smell but it’ll go away soon.
Use baking soda. Baking soda is one of the most popular deodorizers around, because it’s effective and cheap. To absorb smells around the house, sprinkle some baking soda into a couple of small dishes or plates and distribute them around the house. The baking soda will absorb odors from the rooms and get rid of bad smells.[12]
