“remove urine from wood -remove human urine from carpet”

Have your pet checked by a veterinarian to rule out medical causes for the accident. When you are certain your pet is healthy, use positive reinforcement to train yourcat or dog to eliminate in the proper place.
Un-Duz-It Unleashed features a unique combination of oxidizers, enzymes, and odor encapsulants that completely eliminates odors caused by urine, feces, and wet animals. It also effectively wipes out unsightly yellow staining from pet urine.
For mattresses, to remove cat urine the best thing to do is to make a double, triple or even quadruple batch of the cat urine smell remover to completely cover the stain and then really pour it on. Don’t be afraid of saturating the mattress. The cat urine has gone deep into the mattress, so you need to make sure that there’s enough solution to go deep into the mattress as well. The solution has to reach the cat urine to neutralize it. You could treat the cat urine in the mattress in the morning so that the solution can work through the day. The mattress will often be dry enough for use by bedtime.
There’s no need to rinse or blot the enzymatic cleaner, you simply let it do its work, dissolve and dry. The length of time required depends on what version of cleaner you buy. Some require 24 hours, while serious stains may take up to two weeks to completely dissolve the smell and stain. Sometimes the smell gets worse before it gets better, so don’t be discouraged. In the store, look for the version of carpet cleaner that’s formulated especially for pet urine removal and is available in liquid or powder formula.
In order to get rid of dog pee out of carpet we need one cheap but extremely effective product: hydrogen peroxide. This liquid you definitely already have at home or you can easily buy it in every pharmacy all over the country. Because of some chemical properties hydrogen peroxide is mostly used on the linoleum or tile. However we still can use it for the carpets which are of a light color.
Pour enough vinegar and water (a 50/50 mix) on the spot to dampen the area. Do not over wet, you want to keep the stain contained to the area you’re working on – not spreading it around unnecessarily.
I sure hope that the plants aren’t poisonous to the cats. You can put Lava Rocks around plants on top of dirt and your cat won’t dig there anymore; cats don’t like the feel of them. Water goes right though them to the plant’s roots, plus they are very pretty. I put them in all of my potted plants since we have 5 cats. You can purchase them in big bags at home improvement stores such as Stines, Home Depot or Lowes.
First and obligatory action is immediately after noticing to remove a significant amount of moisture with a sponge and then to start washing the spot with the solution of water and vinegar. Some people just dilute the vinegar with the water in a ratio 1:3 but there are several opinions on this subject. We can try also to prepare the smell cleaning liquid in a different way.
I used a rented carpet cleaner extractor which is way more powerful then the home versions and the Nature’s Miracle posted above, not the gallon type. I really thought it was a lost cause but it worked! 🙂
Cover the stain with paper towels or rags and walk lightly over or place something heavy on top to soak up any excess liquid. Sprinkle a generous handful of baking soda over the stain when no more liquid can be pulled up, and mix together ½ cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 1 teaspoon of dish liquid. Slowly pour the solution over the stain and baking soda. Gently scrub the mixture into the carpet fibers with a scrub-brush or cloth, and then let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Vacuum the area thoroughly. For tough stains, repeat the above steps.

Inappropriate urination is more than a nuisance. Besides in the case of cats who haven’t yet been litterbox trained, urinating outside of a designated area in the house usually signals that something is wrong. Cats don’t like to urinate in places where they can’t cover up their waste – so if your cat is doing this, they’re probably no happier about it than you are.
I have found hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dishsoap to work so well that the cats don’t go back to the same place twice, or sniff at places they’ve peed after treatment: a cat’s nose is the gold standard for judging whether cat pee smell is gone or not. Getting it to smell clean to a human nose is only half the battle if you don’t want repeat toilet visits to your carpet or furniture.
Since getting my first pup, I have encountered her peeing everywhere. My solution to get odor out is to spray the spot with a bug spray, not only does it stop her from going back to the spot it also takes the odor out. Seems the bug spray is stronger than urine, the smell goes away in a couple of minutes but, stays longer enough for her to smell and leave it alone, I used Hot Shot flying insect spray. It’s harmful because the dog won’t go near it.
I read this article and wanted to print it for a situation that we have here at our job with one of our employees (who has several cats and who brings their odors in with her). It is very offensive to our co-workers, and as her supervisor we’ve tried several things to eliminate the odor but nothing has worked so far. I need very badly to print this article but apparently the magazine holder is not allowing that so….
If your cat’s not using the litter box, it’s likely that he or she is trying to tell you something. The first thing you need to do is rule out a medical problem, said Bruce Kornreich, DVM, PhD, DACVIM and associate director of the Cornell Feline Health Center.  Medical issues related to inappropriate urination can include urinary tract infections, kidney disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism and feline lower urinary tract disease, and can cause a cat to urinate outside the litter box, particularly if he or she associates the litter box with pain. If you believe your cat is suffering from any of these conditions, or is exhibiting additional symptoms, bring them to your veterinarian immediately, as untreated conditions, like urinary tract infections, can become serious.
Have multiple litter boxes. Older cats can’t travel too far to do their business. Put litter boxes in rooms where your elderly kitty likes to sleep. In multiple-cat households, having litter boxes in different locations makes it impossible for a dominant cat to “guard” the box and not allow other cats to use it.
Sometimes, cats will develop a preference for the texture of carpet or other surfaces. Combined with the effect of lingering urine odor, this can lead to a bad habit. Redirect this unwanted behavior by making the affected area less appealing. Remove the odor completely by using a good cleaner and cover the surface with foil or another unappealing material, and make changes to your cat’s litter or litter box to attract them to the correct toilet.
The Small Hard Surface Cleaning System I is intended for the removal of dog, or cat, or human urine odors ONLY in hard surfaces such as concrete, etc. If cleaning porous surfaces, first use the Prove-It Kit.
White Vinegar. To rid your linoleum or hardwood floors of that “not so fresh feeling”, simply mix a 3:1 solution of warm water and White Vinegar in your mop bucket and get to work. Remember to crack a window or two. Vinegar has a good clean smell, but it’s a strong one.
However, I do have a cat who, for the past ten years has always urinated on piles of clean or dirty laundry, bathroom rugs, carseats, etc. He’s healthy, it’s just a very annoying quirk–especially when he does it on stuff that belongs to my kids. Needless to say, he was my inspiration for writing this.

I hope that you have found this article useful and now know how to remove the odor of dog urine from your carpets and eliminate the evidence of those little accidents that are bound to happen from time to time! I use only ingredients from my store cupboard and have never found it necessary to use hydrogen peroxide.
Important. Never use ammonia or ammonia-based products on the carpet. One of the ingredients of urine is ammonia and your cat may well be encouraged to re-offend in the same area if it detects the smell of ammonia. Many household cleaner cleaners contain ammonia so be sure to read the label.
I once carried a cat urine laden backpack through four consecutive hours of class. It wasn’t until my last class of the day, which happened to be genetics, in a rather small, hot, stuffy room that I realized that the recurring whiffs of cat pee I been smelling were indeed coming from me. All day I had been convincing myself I was crazy, there was no cat urine. But the truth was, I was carrying the cat pee. Luckily for myself and those around me, I had several years of experience working at a pet store where sometimes close to a dozen cats could be found wandering the aisles. There I had learned a few tricks and so was able to remedy the situation. Nowadays, armed not only with pet store experience, but also with the enlightenment that comes from owning and cleaning up after two cats of my own, I feel it’s my duty to pass on my knowledge so that all might learn the art of a pee free existence…or at least pee-free outside of the litter box.
Thanks so much for this! One of my cats peed on the carpet and it went unnoticed until the entire downstairs of the house smelled awful. I tried woolite spray which didn’t really work. Then I found your solution and it worked amazingly! Thanks so much!
I put a few scoops in some decorative glass bowl in my living room, next day I could smell a huge difference. Works with animal urine and general funk. I would suggest being a little generous at first then scaling it back down for maintenance.

A: Under normal circumstances, sewer gas vents outside the home and dissipates into the atmosphere. Plumbing problems sometimes allow the gas to escape in the home, creating an offensive odor. Stopping the odor sometimes requires a few minutes and a pitcher of water. At other times, you might need to call for professional help.

Step 2: Pour 4-6 oz of warm water on the stain. Extract or absorb this water from the carpeting (repeat 3 times). This dilutes the urine and helps the “good” bacteria in the best pet odor eliminator product to quickly eat away at the “bad” bacteria.
