Do smoky cigars, lingering pet odors, or strong fumes pollute the air in your home? Although odors and foul smells are a part of life, they don’t need to be a part of your indoor air. Many people ask, ‘Do air purifiers eliminate odors?’ The short answer is yes, but it’s not that simple. Air purifiers aren’t created equally, and certain types of filter media are exceptionally good at removing odors while other won’t remove any. Overall, a HEPA air purifier can dramatically improve your indoor air quality, but getting the right model for your needs makes all the difference.
I am wondering my last resort is to quarantine her to one room with litter, food/water, toys, bed to help her reacquaint herself with the litter. My question about that is, will she be upset and more stressed? Firstly, she will be locked up in the room when we are gone to work and school, no access to the rest of the house as she normally does. Secondly we are moving her “room” to another part of the house. I cant keep cleaning after her, but I don’t want to stress her more PLEASE HELP!!

For example, Nature’s Miracle is a bacteria-produced enzyme odor eliminator that contains alcohol. Despite this, the label claims it’s non-toxic and safe to use around pets and kids. And the spray bottle version says to spray it directly onto your pet!
I just found this article after a Google search and it sounds very helpful, but I don’t know how much this will help me. Will your washing advice work in a front load washer? For instance, when you say add a scoop of OxiClean to your laundry, do I add it where the detergent goes? Or on the clothes themselves before the washer fills up?

Now that my 15 year old queen is satisfied with her restroom, I am now left to attack the cat pee smell. Putting Febreeze on a cat pee spot is like putting a cute SuperMan band aid on an 8 inch deep gash; it’s super adorable but we all know I am going to pass out from the blood loss. Attacking cat pee is serious business and requires hours of work, determination, and money. Did I state how I will never own a cat again?
To answer your questions – yes, I have a front loader and I use OxiClean by just throwing it on top of the laundry. As far as the OdoBan, I just looked it up and YES I would pick up a couple of jugs. What I’m seeing from the reviews is that it’s very strong smelling so definitely open up your house top to bottom and if you have any fans get those going too because you’re not going to want to breathe that stuff in in concentrated amounts. It looks like this is good for more than just clothes. Following the directions for mixing the OdoBan with water, I would wipe down your walls and any hard floors you have then I would put it in your Little Green (I can’t get through the week without mine, good buy!) up to the solution line, add water, and use it on your upholstery and carpet. Just skip the OxiClean for the carpet as it sounds like the OdoBan may be a better bet for the concentrations of urine you’re dealing with.
Here is my magic method that has taken me over a year to come up with, the only thing that works for me. Also note that I have the tried the same method with other cleaners, and SUN is the key to it working for me. Like I said, I have hardwood floors and this product does not damage them. Using a paper towel I dry the urine up completely. Then I lay dry paper towels over the entire area where there was urine. After mixing my SUN solution up (I make it strong using less water) I pour it all over the paper towels until they are completely saturated with the solution. I have an oscillating fan that I put on the floor and point toward the wet paper towels. I leave it there all day or until they are dry. Once dry, discard the dried paper towels, then I lay more dry paper towels down and I repeat the whole process one more time. Well- la, that’s it. Every now and then I will spray some more SUN solution to that area and wipe it down just to keep up with it. This really works for me. Trust me, I have been to the point where I was in tears and spending tons of money to try and fix the problem. Since the reason my cat does this is behavioral and there isn’t a medical reason why she does it (as said by my vet after running several tests, food changes, new litter boxes, calming collars, calming spray, and the list goes on), I keep at least one of these bottles handy at all times in case there is another occurrence.

A: To eliminate the mildew smell, wash the offending towels in the hottest water that is safe for the fabric, using two tablespoons of baking soda in both the wash and rinse cycle. A second, water-only rinse cycle, after the baking soda rinse, removes any remaining residue.
