“what gets rid of cat urine odor +what to use to get rid of dog urine smell”

Keep Your Dog But Not The Dog Smell – Living with man’s best friend does not mean that your home has to smell and look like a dog house. If you are looking for the best solution to keeping the dog smell from lingering in your home without hours of cleaning every week here are a couple ways to…
“Simple Green Outdoor Pet Odor Eliminator neutralizes and eliminates odors in outdoor spaces. Odor eliminator quickly removes pet urine, stool and vomit odors. The multipurpose formula is ideal for the patio, deck, dog run, artificial turf and yard.
Enzymes are protein that help break up urine molecules and dissolve odors. Enzyme cleansers work, but they can take some time. You’ll spray or blot the area with cleaner, then let it sit for a while before blotting it up and scrubbing the spot. You may need to repeat this process.
On occasion, our suggestions for high-quality pet products will direct you to our partner site(s), where we may earn a small commission, which financially supports further development of Kitty Catter.
This recipe worked for me. My baby had a bladder infection, and peed on a spot on the carpet multiple times. I tried the Nature’s Miracle stuff, nothing! It actually gave me headaches, it smelled too strong. Then I used vinegar, it worked, but it did not last. Then I rented a Rug Doctor, and bought their Pet soap. That one smelled better, but did nothing for the pee smell. I finally found this site and tried it. It has been a week now since I applied it for the first time, and the odor is gone. I had to apply it twice, but so far, so good.
A malodor is another way of saying “bad odor”.  These are often made from molecules that contain nitrogen, oxygen, and/or sulfur.  Aveho will selectively target these compounds, and will bind them, or convert them to substances that don’t smell so offensive.
A: Remove mildew odor from carpet by drying the air in the room and removing the mildew itself. The process requires removing the carpet and taking it to a sunny area for several days. Kill any remaining mildew spores by spraying with dilute hydrogen peroxide and drying the carpet.
Quick question for you – do you have a recommendation for an odor removing recipe that can be used in a carpet shampoo vacuum? I do not want to buy a regular shampoo from the store as my vet told me it does not remove the urine smell and that animals will still be attracted and potty on the carpet as long as I use a regular shampoo.
Have your pet checked by a veterinarian to rule out medical causes for the accident. When you are certain your pet is healthy, use positive reinforcement to train yourcat or dog to eliminate in the proper place.
Our products are safe to use around children and pets. But when it comes to pet birds, their tiny lungs make them uniquely sensitive to what’s in the air around them. We recommend moving feathered friend to another room until the area has had time to properly ventilate. More questions? Talk to your vet.
Clean the toilets. Toilets are another household fixture that can house mold, mildew, bacteria, and other stink-sources. Pour 1 cup (235 ml) of vinegar into the bowl. Spray down the outside of the bowl and seat with vinegar as well. Let the vinegar stand for five minutes. Scrub the inside of the bowl with the toilet brush, and wipe the outside of the bowl and the seat with rags or paper towels.[3]
Unfortunately, there’s no way to use dog urine smell eliminator products that would have no chemicals in them (self-made DIY cleaners are sadly not as effective). Thus, any type of cleaner, including these best pet odor eliminator products, will leave residue behind that you cannot see, but as long as they’re safe for pets, you won’t have to worry.
If you’re not dealing with too many stains, but are instead overwhelmed by the smells of your pet’s leavings then you’re in good hands with this pet and dog urine odor remover from Angry Orange. It’s specifically designed to eliminate pet odor, but it’s really not going to do much about staining.
You can also try using a black fluorescent light. These lights will show stains on furniture, walls, or carpet as yellow spots. You can purchase a black light rather inexpensively from pet stores or online.[3]
Hello, one of my 2 cats has peed (a lot!) on my sofa – so that two of the large seat cushions, as well as the space between them (down into the sofa structure) are soaked. I have sprayed/soaked the affected areas with Fresh ‘n Clean, but just noticed that the label states that the formula includes baking soda deodorizers, but no enzymes. I have two main questions: (1) Since it does not contain enzymes, is Fresh ‘n Clean one of those that only mask the odor? Is it not effective in preventing repeat transgressions? (2) After soaking everything with the spray, when is the best time to launder – immediately or after the spray has soaked in & dried? Please respond as soon as possible! Thanks for any help!
For the most part, these can be separated into hard and soft surfaces. What works well on carpet, for instance, might not be quite as good for tile or hardwood. The latter can be particularly problematic when it comes to picking out a good cleaner but enzymatic cleaners are quite often benign enough to not affect their finish.
2. If homemade mixing is not your thing, there are commercial products on the market that work well too. Make sure to look for cleaners that contain enzymes because they work to break down the urine and neutralize the odor (source). Make sure you follow the instructions carefully on these products.
Yes! Thank you for saying that! Real (raw) food is the only way they should eat. I feed my German Shepherd Dog raw meaty bone, raw meat and raw organs. It upsets me knowing animals are forced to eat commercial food with diseased and euthenized animals in the ingredients. (Of course it’s not listed but it’s in there)
Hello! These have been wonderful solutions to my cat problems, but curious as to why apple cider vinegar is NOT used on the carpet, especially if its dark carpet, (if someone is concerned about leaving a brown stain on lighter carpet, if any?). I do use a white vinegar water solution with it being more water than vinegar. Have you ever used apple cider vinegar in the solution for carpets?
Inappropriate urination is more than a nuisance. Besides in the case of cats who haven’t yet been litterbox trained, urinating outside of a designated area in the house usually signals that something is wrong. Cats don’t like to urinate in places where they can’t cover up their waste – so if your cat is doing this, they’re probably no happier about it than you are.
what works for me….I have a a hoover steamvac carpet cleaner …so worth it… I soak up original area …poor vinegar solution over allow to sit then do the whole rugs with the cleaner and the solution you buy to go over it. Then I fill it with the vinegar mixture then add 100 percent pure essential oils (lemongrass, tea-tree,bergamot maybe 10 drops per gallon of each or just until im satisfied with smell) then i do the rugs with that mixture…the oils are antimicrobial, antibacterial,anti-fungal and anti viral…oh the antiseptic qualities among other things!!…it smells great..i will be adding the baking soda Thanks guys

From carpets to hardwood floors, you’ll find pet odor eliminators that can successfully clean up marking behavior and accidents in every room. This will help discourage your dog from returning to the same spot in your home when they gotta go.
Unlike typical cleaning products, odor eliminating solutions are specifically formulated to remove tough smells like urine left by pets. For these products to work, they have to fight the specific bacteria found in animals’ urine – the cause of smell.
