“what removes cat pee smell _how to remove urine stains”

For the most part, these can be separated into hard and soft surfaces. What works well on carpet, for instance, might not be quite as good for tile or hardwood. The latter can be particularly problematic when it comes to picking out a good cleaner but enzymatic cleaners are quite often benign enough to not affect their finish.

One of the nice things about this product is that it has Scotchguard built right into it, meaning that you get the cleaning and odor removal followed by a protective layer that will stay in place on the offending rug.
At 5:00 this morning I found myself searching the net for ways to get rid of cat pee smell, after returning from a day out to find that SOME CAT (we have three, no names no pack drill) had peed twice in the bathroom. They have a flap and can come and go as they like; we only moved here two months ago and were not planning to touch the b’room until after the summer as there is so much else to do. The smell was simply horrendous and I couldn’t leave the window open until we were up as we live on a public footpath.
Using stream cleaner is a bad idea. It will cause the stain to set and reeks something fierce. We’ve used the vinegar and baking soda mixture but you can also try Biokleen Bac-Out. It’s an enzymatic cleaner. Our dog peed in our room and it stunk. Put this stuff on spot and it doesn’t stink anymore. You can buy it at most health food stores and online are Amazon. Best of luck.
Hi, I was just wondering if you knew any ways to remove the smell of cat urine off something that cannot be easily washed – a laptop for example please ??? I have a new kitten who unfortunately decided to wee on something that was on laptop (to hide laptop from view of people outside) and it soaked through onto laptop (which still works). I have tried anti-bac wiping it (lemon scented) – and still stinks. It didn’t get into the laptop – just onto the surface of the lid.
Pet odor eliminator reviews from pet owners: “There was a mystery stain that showed up in an extra bedroom that looked so questionable I didn’t even want to stick my nose in it… (I have 3 adult dogs, 1 puppy and 1 cat). I sprayed some Rocco on the spot, left…”
3. When the area has dried or almost dried sprinkle a handful or two of baking soda over the soiled area. Mix half a cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide with a teaspoon of detergent. Plain liquid dishwashing detergent like Palmolive is quite suitable. Do not use dishwasher detergent like Cascade.  Put on a pair of plastic gloves and slowly pour the hydrogen peroxide and detergent mixture over the baking soda. Work the dissolving baking soda into the carpet with your fingers or with a scrubbing brush. Allow the area to dry completely and then vacuum thoroughly.
It is great if you noticed the puddle immediately and started to clean up. But what should we do if the carpet is already dry and we need to get rid of dog pee smell? We should mix one cup of hydrogen peroxide with 1 tablespoon of dishwashing soap. Using the brush wash the spot properly. It is better to wash even a bit bigger surface than the spot itself.

Air cleaners utilize various methods of filtration for neutralizing and cleaning the awful odors in indoor air. Activated Carbon Filters are the most widely used type of filter to remove gases, odors, and chemical toxins. The carbon that is contained in activated carbon filters is basically charcoal. When charcoal is treated with oxygen, millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms are created, enabling the activated carbon to adsorb odorous substances from gases or liquids.
A: If the stain is new and still wet, a thorough cold water rinse can remove the bulk of the urine and mitigate or remove any odor before it sets in. The best method for removing dog urine odors from upholstery depends on timing.
Bubba’s calls their enzyme cleaner “the pet stain and odor TERMINATOR” because it destroys stubborn urine smells for good. It eats away urine bacteria to prevent re-marking. You can spot-treat with Bubba’s, or add it to a load of laundry to wash dog bets and blankets stained with pee.
I purchased a house and the previous owner had five indoor dogs and numerous others outside. I liked the carpet, it was plush and probably expensive for the previous owners to put in, but the odor was almost unbearable and their was a few really dirty high traffic areas. I tried everything on the internet, baking soda, vinegar, every shampoo out there and nothing work. I was going to get all new carpet and decided to try one more thing. I put granulated pool chlorine in the shampooer with a little carpet soap. Worked like magic. Not only did it COMPLETELY eliminate the pet odor, it also cleaned the carpet to like new. The Pool Chlorine is really strong so you have to open all your windows or it will make your eyes sting. It does not discolor your carpet at all. The stronger the solution the better. It also makes the carpet dry faster. The smell is horrible for about an hour or two but its well worth it. I have my own shampooer but I probably could have gotten it done faster with a rented one. If you are considering getting new carpet because of pet odor try GRANULATED POOL CHLORINE first.
Clean the cage. If you have rats, mice, gerbils, ferrets, rabbits, and other pets that live in cages with bedding, the cage could be making your whole house stink. Gently remove your pet and place the pet somewhere safe, such as a second cage. Then, get to cleaning:
Try an enzymatic cleaner to start. Wet the area with cool distilled water, pouring a small amount around the perimeter of the stain, moving from the outside of the stain toward the center. Spray an enzymatic cleaner on the wet spot, and allow it to sit overnight. If your carpet is wool, make sure you’re using a wool-safe cleaner.
Whew sorry for that novel-I really could go on about potty-training. I hope at least some part of it proves useful. Stick with it and he’ll figure it out! Feel free to ask anymore questions you have-hopefully I didn’t just confuse you more! 😀
We have 3 cats one pees on carpet down stairs not all time but regularly she has diabetes we are getting the carpet professionally cleaned soon and wondered if it would help if I sprayed the carpet down with vinegar a while before they come to neutralize the pee ?
Enzymes cleaner, soap and water, vinegar – none of these work. We’ve tried for years with all of these but our dog keeps going back to the same spots so obviously, the smell is attracting him. It drives me crazy.
Mix up a vinegar solution. If an enzyme cleaner didn’t completely remove the smell, use a vinegar solution. Combine equal parts of white vinegar and water in a bowl or spray bottle. Saturate or spray the soiled area. Saturate a little bit beyond the soiled area so you can be sure to remove all urine.
Fresh lemon juice diluted with water (ratio of 1:1) will help to eliminate the smell of dog urine from the furniture and carpet. The mixture is left on the surface for 15 minutes and then wiped with the clean textile or sponge. In order to achieve the desired result you should start cleaning the surface immediately. The worst case is when urine dries. If it is necessary the method can be repeated several times.

At first I was skeptical about the pods but I gave them a try. I was having a hard time because they would stick to some of the clothes in the load. I would not put them into the washer first and I think that’s why they would stick. But after doing so, I am very satisfied with the product. It is just so convenient to carry a couple of them to the laundry mat!
A: Remove mildew odor from carpet by drying the air in the room and removing the mildew itself. The process requires removing the carpet and taking it to a sunny area for several days. Kill any remaining mildew spores by spraying with dilute hydrogen peroxide and drying the carpet.
Sounds like your kitty may need a new cat food. I have a lot of experience with cats, and most of the hairballs and vomiting stopped for us when we switched to a more natural food. We feed Diamond indoor formula, but any cat food whose main ingredients are meat rather than corn and wheat is likely to win you a reprieve from the constant vomiting. Just make sure you swap foods over the course of time rather than abruptly, to save on stomach upset. Yes, it’s more expensive, but the cat’s lack of vomiting (and the food’s lack of staining, if the cat does vomit) are worth a little extra. 🙂
The particles that remove the odor are suspended in water but when they are allowed to dry they can clog the small openings in the sprayer.  To unclog the nozzle, insert a thumbtack, safety pin or paper clip into the end of the nozzle.
