“how to get rid of human urine smell +natural cat urine neutralizer”

In addition to these five tips, I’d like to add the following: Do not have your cat declawed. I adopted a declawed cat from a local shelter and it took me months before I finally had her successfully using her litter box. She would pee on the carpet, sofa, towels, dirty clothes on the floor, anything soft and I think it was because of the declawing procedure.
Mix up ½ teaspoon (2.5 grams) of bleach with 1 quart (32 ounces/950ml) of distilled water. Do a patch test on a part of the carpet you don’t usually see, and make sure you won’t damage the color. Then saturate the area and allow the solution to soak into the carpet for at least 10 minutes.
Yes your mom is right but if you follow the instructions above you will only have to smell it once more, rather than having the smell constantly. I would recommend you air the room if you can as the smell can be sometimes deceive where the cat has urinated then follow the instruction above

I just read this on the Humane Society’s website: Avoid using steam cleaners to clean urine odors from carpet or upholstery. The heat will permanently set the stain and the odor by bonding the protein into any man-made fibers.

Pet odor eliminator reviews from pet owners: “I am a city-dwelling dog owner, who lives on the second floor. We use a Porch Potty on our deck for our puppy, which has been a life saver for house-training…but, as we quickly discovered, where there is dog waste, there are…”
Use an air purifier. Trap stinky dander, fur, and other odor sources with an air purifier equipped with a HEPA filter. If you have allergies, this solution is doubly awesome, because these filters reduce dust and other allergens in the air.

Every product will have the instructions on the bottle label, so make sure to follow those. However, the process is almost identical for all of them. Here are the six simple steps for the most effective way to get rid of dog urine stains and smell:
I was ooking for something besides Nature’s Miracle, and a sales clerk in a pet supply store told me she was impressed by Skout’s Honor, which had just come on the market but was not yet delivered to the store. I ordered it from Amazon. It instantly removed the cat urine odor from the grout in my tile floor and from the plastic cat box, which is old and smelly.
Keep it clean. Most of us rinse/wash our dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher, so when I’m done removing food and ready to use the disposal, I squirt a little dish soap in the disposal and let it run an extra minute or so.
A: If the stain is new and still wet, a thorough cold water rinse can remove the bulk of the urine and mitigate or remove any odor before it sets in. The best method for removing dog urine odors from upholstery depends on timing.
If the vomit was on the carpet, after wiping it with a damp rag, sprinkle baking soda over the stain and let it sit for an hour to absorb the moisture. If the stain is on a hard floor, proceed to step 3.
Once the spot is clean, apply a high-quality pet odor neutralizer (see below for our recommendations). Follow instructions carefully and test out a hidden area of the carpet to make sure the neutralizer doesn’t stain.
Activated carbon absorbs a large variety of smells.  In fact, activated carbon absorbs both malodors and desirable fragrances.  Because carbon attracts so many different odors, its capacity is exhausted quickly, and is no longer useful.  This means that a significant quantity of activated carbon would be required to eliminate a specific, pervasive malodor.  Aveho is a selective odor elimination technology.  Different classes of malodors, whether based in sulfur, nitrogen or oxygen, are specifically targeted by different types of Aveho. This means that Aveho won’t get used up as quickly as carbon, and has the potential to continue to eliminate malodors as they are generated.   One concern with carbon odor removal products is they tend to be dusty, and the black carbon can create an unwanted mess.
That’s a great question Gary. Regarding how to remove dog urine from carpet that has set in, we recommend the same products and techniques. People really rave about Nature’s Miracle and some members of our team have used it as well. We’ve read that it performs well for urine that has dried up, so I would recommend purchasing it and seeing how it works. Best of luck!

Hi Susan! First off, are they fixed? If not, that would be the best first step 🙂 My neutered cat pees in cardboard boxes too though so I feel you. You may have to just pitch the boxes, unfortunately. I’m not a vet so I can’t say for sure why he pees in his own bed, but in my own experience with cats, he is probably doing it because he or his brother did it there once and now he’s continually going back to it to urinate for reasons that I don’t fully understand. My cat has also done this and I ended up just having to forego all plush cat beds for him. I hope you can get it cleaned up. Come back and update if his behavior stops, I’d love to know if cleaning his bed helped 🙂

what works for me….I have a a hoover steamvac carpet cleaner …so worth it… I soak up original area …poor vinegar solution over allow to sit then do the whole rugs with the cleaner and the solution you buy to go over it. Then I fill it with the vinegar mixture then add 100 percent pure essential oils (lemongrass, tea-tree,bergamot maybe 10 drops per gallon of each or just until im satisfied with smell) then i do the rugs with that mixture…the oils are antimicrobial, antibacterial,anti-fungal and anti viral…oh the antiseptic qualities among other things!!…it smells great..i will be adding the baking soda Thanks guys
It didn’t stain mine and I left it on over night but always test a small area first and don’t be shocked if you see the baking soda start to bubble, it is supposed to do that… be sure to add enough solution.

EXACTLY, some people have to put their 2cents worth in even if it’s bad mouth language, don’t they………. my mom used to call that “potty mouth”….. She obviously did something wrong cause I have used this before and it works fine for me……………
All DIY projects seem to leave something out that cause the project to not come out the way you had expected. In order to remove dog urine from carpet or even a dog stain about half a gallon of a cleaning solution is required and must be left to dwell for at least 5 minutes. The question is will your shop vac remove all the solution from your carpet and below your pad? Most know vacuums do not have the lift required to remove pet urine and cleaning solution from under the pad. Failure to remove the solution from your carpet and pad will cause your carpet to have an odor and you will be disappointed.
