“products to eliminate cat urine odor |best way to remove cat urine smell”

Many odors (smoke, some rotting food, pet odors, some body odors, etc.) are not derived from microbes.   so antimicrobials have no effect on these type of odors.  Aveho eliminates bad odors whether or not they were caused by microbes.
Alternative 1: Vinegar and baking soda. Soak up as much urine as possible from the upholstery. Liberally sprinkle baking soda on the stain, and let it sit for 5 minutes. The baking soda will help to deodorize the stain. In a spray bottle or other container, mix equal parts water and distilled white vinegar. Spray or pour the mixture onto the baking soda-covered stain, and let sit for another 5 minutes. Then blot the stain with a cloth or paper towel to dry it.
If you’ve got a carpet cleaner already, then this might be just the solution you’re looking for. If not, you can try and mix it in a spray bottle to take advantage of the lowered cost but you might be better off with one of the other standalone products we recommend.
For a DIY solution: Scrub the area throroughly with club soda, and let dry. Then sprinkle with ARM & HAMMER Baking Soda. Let it sit so the baking soda can soak up any lingering odors, and then vacuum.
If some stubborn soda still remains after you vacuum once, spay a light mist of vinegar and water over it to re-wet the baking soda, and place a dry rag over the area for another hour or two until it dries again. Then vacuum a second time.
Smoke – Odors from the smoke of cigarettes, cigars, house fires, camp fires and other sources can be quickly and permanently removed by Aveho.  So go and light one up right next to those fancy-schmancy curtains in that fancy-schmancy room that never gets used.  No one will ever know.

Deana, you should really get yourself a handheld blacklight to help you find the cat spray. In the meantime, your guess for a masking agent is as good as ours. Maybe try some Fresh Wave, it’s good stuff. And of course, leave your windows open if possible.
For cat urine on clothing and bedding, you can either spot treat or use the remover in a washing machine. Depending on the size load you are washing, you will need to make a double, triple or even quadruple batch of the recipe and pour it in with the washing machine water. Allow the clothing/bedding to soak in the washing machine overnight. Leave out the detergent until you are satisfied that the cat urine odor is gone. Then, you can wash with detergent like normal. If any of the clothes/bedding is brightly colored, be sure to do a spot check on them first before treating them. The recipe is not safe for leather.
Vacuum the soiled area. Vacuuming the soiled area removes both the urine particles and the deodorizer you applied. Extracting wet vacs work the best for this since they saturate the carpet and then vacuum the water back into the vacuum’s tank.[6] In a pinch, you can use your regular vacuum; it just won’t be as effective as the wet vac.
