“remove urine smell from jeans |what to use to clean up cat urine”

Additionally, once a urine stain dries, you may no longer see it but you can still smell it, and so can your cat, leading him or her to re-mark the area. “When it comes to cleaning up cat urine, many cat owners make the same mistake—not cleaning it up quickly enough,” says Meg Roberts, president of Molly Maid, a residential cleaning company.
Pets – If you’re a crazy cat lady then you probably don’t notice.  But for the rest of us, Aveho odor removal is the perfect solution for malodors from cat litter boxes, bedding, wet dogs, and areas they aren’t supposed to use as a toilet, but do anyway. Please contact us for further details.
Remove the hood. If you use a covered litter box, take the lid off to see if your cat likes it better. Covered litter boxes can make cats feel they don’t have enough escape options. The space inside can also be too short for a cat to do a proper “pee squat.”
There is a strong, legitimate, and chemically important reason to use an enzyme cleaner to clean cat urine stains. Home-made mixtures or typical household cleaners simply do not contain the required ingredients to remove ALL the components of cat urine. Vinegar and baking soda work to neutralize the odor temporarily, and hydrogen peroxide is 30% more oxidizing than chlorine. But cat urine is composed of things that REQUIRE enzymes to break down the chemical bonds.
Hi I have a russian blue and I breed her, she has been good not excellent but manageable. Now that the kittens are bigger something came over her and she started urinating the couch (the kittens to)… Uuuf I took the cushion out and I washed it with vinegar and detergent that didn’t do it so I soakted it again in woter with white vinegar … One more after that … I don’t know how to get the smell out. Now don’t say neuter I have my breeding permit and all pedigree papers and I go to shows… So no offending OK. Thanks upfront for help. 😀
Since posting this review, I actually convinced a man to marry me. I clearly missed my chance as a saleswoman because I can sell anything, even a life attached to me and the feline. My cat is going strong and still a narcissistic princess with a special place in my heart and hell.
I have been using vinegar for years to get rid of the smell of cat urine. I have an easier way. When I find a wet spot from the cat or dog on the carpet, I pour vinegar straight on the stain. Then I put an all white towel, (in case colored one should fade on the carpet) folded on the spot and step on it pulling the moisture from the spot. I leave it over night and part of the next day. When it is dry I pick it up and no more spot or smell!
I just found this article after a Google search and it sounds very helpful, but I don’t know how much this will help me. Will your washing advice work in a front load washer? For instance, when you say add a scoop of OxiClean to your laundry, do I add it where the detergent goes? Or on the clothes themselves before the washer fills up?
I had dog pee on couch cushions so I first used my green machine wet vac to do an initial clean and remove as much pee as possible and then used this solution where there were some lingering smells. It’s working. I’ve very impressed! I did a test patch overnight and didn’t notice any discoloration. I think the reason some people get discoloration and some don’t is because they are using different strength peroxides. I plan on using this for a general freshening up of my other cushions as well. I will write back if the smell returns.
If you’ve got a carpet cleaner already, then this might be just the solution you’re looking for. If not, you can try and mix it in a spray bottle to take advantage of the lowered cost but you might be better off with one of the other standalone products we recommend.
One of the most popular features of Smelleze® is that it can be used over and over again for many years to rid odors making it very cost effective. To enjoy this unique advantage, all you have to do is simply rejuvenate the pouch by exposing it to direct sunlight for a day or heat in a microwave for few minutes and reuse. It’s that easy!
3. Stinky Shoes & Poo – One or two pairs of stinky boy’s shoes may not seem like a big deal, but in our house, all three boys store ALL of their shoes in a small space that’s only 2′ x 3′. That’s a lot of sweaty sneakers, dirty cleats and musty rain boots in one tiny area! A few sprays of Stinkers! in their shoes and storage baskets, and our mudroom area smells fresh and clean again!
I have good cats but I rescued one who proceeded to mark a room where the previous owners cat smell was. I tried all I could to re-train her, get rid of the smell but it just got worse & worse. She’s been re-homed.
I have 2 older poms, Bear is 10 and had a bad time for several months of drinking every drop of water, several times a day and then constantly having accidents all over the house. And every time I took them out, he went a lot! First vet visit I was told that his urine was too watered to tell if he had any infection. Then told they wanted him brought back for expensive testing to check for cushings disease. Since I couldn’t afford $500-$1000 in testing medications, I decided to change their dry food to something more reputable. Since taking them off just 6 and on to nature’s balance then blue wilderness (slightly more affordable) Bear is doing great! Maybe 2-3 accidents in last 5 months! (That may have been my fault for not getting them outside for too long) I am not trying to talk bad about any vets or food labels, I just want to share this experience because it may be helpful to someone.
That said, pet odor eliminators are not the only ones to pick and choose carefully. Other items can be just as dangerous, if not more so. Here are a few you need to keep away from dogs, or make sure you buy pet-friendly options:
Note that if you mix them together in a spray bottle, the baking soda may foam so it is best to mix them and then pour into the spray bottle once the foam has receded. Using the mixture is really easy. You just have to spray the area that needs to be treated and let it sit for about an hour or so. You may want to ventilate the room or turn fan on so that the smell doesn’t get to you. When you come back, your stains should be completely gone and the best part is that they will take the smell with them.
After doing the obvious–soaking up the wet urine, using a wet vac to dilute it and suck it back up, after shampooing, etc. and finding that some of the odor was still there, I let the carpet dry thoroughly, then used a plastic bottle with a nozzle tip and “injected” a pet odor treatment solution deep into the affected area and let it soak into the carpet padding and slab underneath the carpet–then let it dry thoroughly. I can’t smell any urine anymore–even when I get down on the floor and try! I do smell some of the nice-smelling treatment solution, though, but don’t mind that. Good luck!
