“urine remove gunpowder |urine odor in carpet”

Elaine, baking soda will help to absorb and neutralize some of the odors, but it won’t be as effective as an enzymatic cleaner. As for laundering, I would use the spray/enzyme cleaner directly in your washing machine and spray down the pieces you can’t launder.
After I read about 950 here, I did some research and read reviews. I ordered the gallon size and it removed the stains I had been fighting for months. It is absolutely awesome. I was so glad that I came across it, I had to come back just to thank the person who introduced me to it!!
That said, pet odor eliminators are not the only ones to pick and choose carefully. Other items can be just as dangerous, if not more so. Here are a few you need to keep away from dogs, or make sure you buy pet-friendly options:

I have been told by an animal behaviorist about this product for ridding your carpet from pee odors and poop odors. The product is called Anti Icky Poo (lol). It is organic and environmentally safe to remove odors. It is avaible at some pet stores or online.
I have tried enzymatic cleaners (Nature’s miracle/Simple Solution/OUT/Bio-Kleen)… industrial cleaners (Odoban)… the originals (Resolve)… and while I do have my favorites among those, none really worked so fully and so safely as Rocco. I am absolutely stunned. This stuff couldn’t work better for my needs.
This morning I had the carpet up and discovered it went under the boarding on the side of the bath in both corners and under one end of the duck board that we use on getting out of the bath. I used the dilute baking soda, straight away on the duck board (I know how good that is from having small children throw up in the car!!) removed the carpet – it’s now waiting to go to the tip, washed the cement floor underneath with the same mixture, until the shops were open and I could get out to get the ingredients for a spray. Here’s hoping it works, I think the enzyme action of the mixture should do the trick, the science makes sense!! Fingers crossed.
After cleaning the pee and other items out of carpet, grab baking soda and some natural essential oils. I found a box of oils on amazon. Add tea tree oil and lavender to the baking soda. In fact, add whatever smell you would like for the olfactory. Add lots of drops to the baking soda and mix well. Shake this mixture all over the carpet. It needs to look like it just snowed. Get a brush, preferably with a long handle to protect your back, and agitate the baking soda into your carpet. Leave it on over night for best results and then vacuum. If you can’t wait that long, at least let it sit two hours. Baking soda and the oils are all natural so safe for humans and animals. This step has helped in creating a more earthy and pleasant smell in my home when I do manic bi-monthly cleaning.
It’s a scientific formula that has been proven by lots of users. Guaranteed to get rid of most odor and stain from upholstery, floor, and carpet. The product contains dormant bacteria that’s only become active when touching a food stain. They’ll create thousands of enzymes that can get rid of all the stains deep in your carpet. You can also use it for cleaning laundry, especially apply on tough stains like coffee and tea.
Burn incense. Incense comes in many forms and in many different smells. To burn incense sticks, place the skinny end of the stick into an incense holder. Light the opposite end of the stick until the tip begins to glow, and then blow out the flame. As the incense burns it will release sweet-smelling smoke that will make the air smell great.
Next, I tried the Nature’s Miracle Urine Destroyer per the instructions on the bottle (not for the carpet cleaning machine). It initially helped much more than the other two products. This product definitely leaves behind a lasting perfume scent, if unobjectionable. After a few days the entire area still smells strongly of urine. I repeated and ended up using all of the roughly 1 to 2 quart bottle on the 4 sqft smelly area with no success whatsoever.
When you take her outside to pee, try to train her to pee on command. When she does pee outside, lots of praise, lots of treats, lots of love, make the act of peeing outside the most magical thing ever.
Technicians also have access to several odor removal products capable of penetrating surfaces to neutralize the unpleasant smell thoroughly. Every material has its own physical properties that determine which substances to use for effective odor elimination. Trained professionals can find the best product for each material, from carpet and fabric to wood and ceramic. Once the surface has been treated, trained technicians are able to seal the surface to trap what scent does remain. Foul smells are created by airborne particles that can be sealed away for good.
Let the sun shine in. Sunlight contains ultra-violet rays, which have the power to kill things like smell-causing mold and bacteria. No matter what time of year it is, open the curtains and drapes throughout the house on a sunny day and let the UV rays in.
“I’ve been training dogs for ten years, so I’ve dealt with a lot of pee. My newest thing is Biokleen. I can’t use chemicals with the dogs I train — they get sneezy — so I like to go natural. Biokleen works with plant-based surfactants and doesn’t leave a layer of artificial perfume. It’s the same cleaner I use in my home.” — Elizabeth Reddin, dog trainer and owner of The Dog Institute of Williamsburg
This stuff really works! Out of all the products I have used, plus the expensive professional cleaning, I have to say, this was awesome. Its easy and inexpensive. I was a little skeptical at first but after reading all the reviews I decided I would try it, and I’m glad I did! I still can’t believe it. It got rid of a couple dried urine spots on my carpet and let me tell you, it smelled horrific. I wanted to throw up. I was so embarrassed! To anyone who is skeptical about this, take it from me. It really works.  But trust me, before you go out and buy every product in the world, try this.
We have an apartment also and I’ve wondered about what they’re going to do with this carpet when we move out, because our pet deposit is too small to be enough to replace all the carpet… BUT we do use baking soda/vinegar mixture on it to clean then vinegar sprayed on top out of a spray bottle. Seems to work well, and she doesn’t go to the same spots every time, it seems pretty random.
Step 4: Once the carpet is almost dry — which could be several hours later — sprinkle a little baking soda on the area to absorb the odor. Allow the baking soda to settle into the carpet fibers for about 15 minutes, then vacuum the area.
One of the nice things about this product is that it has Scotchguard built right into it, meaning that you get the cleaning and odor removal followed by a protective layer that will stay in place on the offending rug.
Cover the area while the cleaner takes effect and while it dries. Some pet owners will cover the area loosely with aluminum foil or lay their laundry basket upside down over the stain to prevent their pets from urinating in the area again. It also helps to remind family members not to step or sit on the stain while it dries.
This stuff removes the smell from anything! My 16-year old son has shoes and feet that smell to the high heavens. We’ve tried everything — including skin prescriptions. I sprinkle this in his shoes — the odor is GONE!! I put it in the pantry to stop dry goods from going rancid. The fridge, garage, son’s room, trash cans……. forget the air fresheners — just get rid of the bad smells. This in your answer — and a whole lot more economical than Fabreeze.
I have the problem with my bed blanket and I tried everything and it is only a few of my cats that do it. I have a lot of cats/kittens at the moment. I washed in vinegar, laundry soap and pet urine spray. I can’t get it out at all. They even pee on it when i am sleeping with it. I just dont know what to do. They are spayed and neutered.
