Cats spray, or urine mark, as a normal way to communicate with others. While most cats mark by releasing small amounts of urine on vertical surfaces, occasionally they may also spray on horizontal surfaces, or even defecate. The majority of cats that spray are males that have not been neutered; hormones can play a significant role in urine marking.
Well, we finally had to euthanize our dog for congestive heart failure about six months after the start of this urine issue. A month or so afterwards, the carpet odors were undetectable. I’m not sure which product did the “trick,” or if it was just a matter of time for the smell to dissipate. It also could have been that somehow our dog was periodically urinating in the same spots without us noticing.
You can find stores near you that sell Clorox® Urine Remover on our Shop Now page. It’s a good idea to call the store before going, to make sure they have it in stock. If you have any trouble finding it at a nearby store, you can also buy it online.
If all else fails or you have many messes you might want to consider renting a rug doctor with upholstery attachment, upholstery cleaner, and odor removers. It can save a lot of stressing out and leaves the upholstery looking new.
We also know that every pet owner has experienced the embarrassment of their furry friend greeting a guest with a less than welcoming scent. We know the frustration of walking into a room and smelling that Fido mistook the carpet for the grass. At OdorKlenz we understand that even the best pets bring some extremely unpleasant odors into our homes and lives. We don’t judge the odors; we just get rid of them safely and effectively!

Charlotte, it should work without the peroxide, but I’m having a hard time believing you can’t find it. It should be in any shop you go into right next to the rubbing (isopropyl alcohol). It’s used as a cleaner and disinfectant for minor scrapes, burns, etc.
To further deodorize household items, sprinkle baking soda over things like carpets, furniture, mattresses, and other possible odor sources. Leave the baking soda for 30 minutes, and then vacuum it up.
