“what can get rid of cat urine smell -remove cat urine smell naturally”

My mother has a cat who gets angry at her when she travels, so whenever mom gets back from a lengthy trip or even a night away, she comes home to numerous pee stains. She had tried everything, from Nature’s Miracle to calling in COIT carpet cleaners to OxyClean. These all worked a little bit, but on the next trip, the cat would be back to her old tricks, in many of the same places, urinating to show her displeasure. It got so bad that mom’s entire house started to smell like cat pee, and close friends would mention the smell when they came to visit.

Hi Eric! I have a kitty who is “pissed” because he has to be quarantined for 45 days – something bit him outside. He’s unhappy because of this, and keeps peeing on my bedroom carpet. I’d like to just buy a steam cleaning machine because he seems to have peed all over the whole thing. Have you ever tried this method? Would you advise against this for any reason and if not, can you recommend a specific machine that won’t break the bank?
After I read about 950 here, I did some research and read reviews. I ordered the gallon size and it removed the stains I had been fighting for months. It is absolutely awesome. I was so glad that I came across it, I had to come back just to thank the person who introduced me to it!!
If the area you are working with is the carpet, work the baking soda into the carpet fibers carefully with an old toothbrush or something similar, something that won’t damage the carpet fibers. And do be careful that you don’t pull or snag the carpet fibers.
Really helpful! The light sounds especially useful, as I have mostly black and other dark fabrics. Accidents are hard to spot! Our dog doesn’t actually pee in the floor, he is just one of those dogs that sprinkles when he is happy (and excited, scared, upset, sleeping, etc!)
Cats often “go” outside the box to let you know what’s going on with health issues, their feelings about changes in the house, and their displeasure with their cat litter box. Another reason? Unneutered males spray to mark their territory, and unneutered females spray to let male cats know that they’re in heat.
Activated carbon absorbs a large variety of smells.  In fact, activated carbon absorbs both malodors and desirable fragrances.  Because carbon attracts so many different odors, its capacity is exhausted quickly, and is no longer useful.  This means that a significant quantity of activated carbon would be required to eliminate a specific, pervasive malodor.  Aveho is a selective odor elimination technology.  Different classes of malodors, whether based in sulfur, nitrogen or oxygen, are specifically targeted by different types of Aveho. This means that Aveho won’t get used up as quickly as carbon, and has the potential to continue to eliminate malodors as they are generated.   One concern with carbon odor removal products is they tend to be dusty, and the black carbon can create an unwanted mess.
I had a stench that I could not get removed from dog urine in carpets. I bought Tide Odor Rescue and mixed it with hot water in a Gallon bucket. I used a $1 store scrub brush to scrub the carpet with the solution. The smell left immediately. I’m not sure how long it will last but just to be safe I sprayed the spots with The Amazing Whip It to ensure the smell doesn’t return. Whip it works perfectly but costs quite a bit compared to the Tide. I recommend either product to remove the stench. I also used a towel to blot up any excess products. Oh yeah, the stain went away immediately too. They were old stains. Whip is so good you can just spray the stains and walk away. Try either one and give a response. You won’t be disappointed
You can also use a wet vacuum to “suck up” the urine if you have one on hand. This will lift more of the cat urine than blotting. Do not use a steam cleaner as at this point in the cleaning process the heat can cause the odor to last much longer and be more difficult to remove.[6]
Getting Rid of The Musty Basement Smell – Older basements often have a thick and foul odor that is commonly described as “musty”. Although the smell is common we don’t usually think about the factors contributing to this unpleasant odor. Mold and mildew, water leaks, and poor air ventilation combine with odors from smoke, pets, old furniture, and…
When I first wrote this article around three years ago, I went on a bit about how evil cats are and how they’re always plotting to destroy the world and, well, it made a LOT of people mad. People do not like to hear that cats are bad because inherently they really aren’t. If your cat is urinating outside of his or her litter box there is likely a good (in the cat’s eyes, anyway) and solvable reason.

With pets, pee happens, often happens on carpets. But there’s no need to panic. There are several methods of removing dog urine—and the distinctive odor it creates—from carpets without using chemicals that may be harmful to you or your pup.
what works for me….I have a a hoover steamvac carpet cleaner …so worth it… I soak up original area …poor vinegar solution over allow to sit then do the whole rugs with the cleaner and the solution you buy to go over it. Then I fill it with the vinegar mixture then add 100 percent pure essential oils (lemongrass, tea-tree,bergamot maybe 10 drops per gallon of each or just until im satisfied with smell) then i do the rugs with that mixture…the oils are antimicrobial, antibacterial,anti-fungal and anti viral…oh the antiseptic qualities among other things!!…it smells great..i will be adding the baking soda Thanks guys
If you can’t trust her loose in the home, kennel train her. Doggies don’t soil their den. You can also check her for Urinary Track infection if kennel training works when she is in there and not when she is loose, or take her out more often. Moving her outside is punishment that isn’t appropriate when training is required, or it’s a medical issue. Subjects her to varmints at night, mosquitos spreading heartworm disease, and possibly barking disturbing neighbors. Doggies don’t misbehave without something going on.
I have the problem with my bed blanket and I tried everything and it is only a few of my cats that do it. I have a lot of cats/kittens at the moment. I washed in vinegar, laundry soap and pet urine spray. I can’t get it out at all. They even pee on it when i am sleeping with it. I just dont know what to do. They are spayed and neutered.
While these Prana Pets natural remedies for dogs are healthy and easy to use, they’re also quite expensive. Keep in mind that most natural remedies are pricey, and you may end up saving money if you no longer have to purchase over-the-counter or prescription medications for your pet.
If the accident just happened quickly absorb it from the carpet with toilet paper…keep rolling up paper and stepping on it over the accident until it’s dry. Re wet the stain with febreeze and again lift it up with toilet paper. Then pour baking soda over the spot…let it dry overnight. You will see the urine comes up into the baking soda…why? I have no idea…when it’s dry..scrape it up ( I use the back of the dustpan brush) sweep it up into a dustpan and thoroughly vacuum. Voila..stink and stain gone. If it’s old..this will not work.
You may have to use this on the same stain a couple of times before it comes up completely. Some unhappy customers say not to expect miracles from the product, claiming it did nothing in the way of helping lift their carpet stains. Other unsatisfied reviewers mentioned the odor of this solution was too strong or unpleasant.
My cats have issues and stink up my home — but this is the only spray that actually works to eliminate the odor and not smell like something else or a chemical. I just want no odor, not a cover up. This works!
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve had the opportunity to put Stinkers! to the test on several occasions, and I wanted to share how well it performed in these five ultimately stinky situations (spoiler alert: AMAZING!):
Well, you can find guides that solve this and other training issues. Instead of the expensive sprays, they show you how to make your own herbal mixtures that do the trick to guide your cat to “not think out of the box”. HaHa! I found out what we were doing wrong and quickly solved what my cat’s communication problem was.
I used this method on a bed set my brother was going to throw away … it is an expensive set … with the vinegar and baking soda I added liguid dish detergent … The cat pee stain and odor was removed and now I have a Queen size … it works great … Thanks for sharing your knowledge
Then, we apply our amazing odor removal product, P.U.R.T., to each stain. P.U.R.T. travels deep into the carpet pad and even the sub-floor reaching areas that typical cleaning products or process cannot reach.
Having pets can be a rewarding experience for people of all ages and walks of life, but caring and cleaning up after them can cause many concerns and questions to arise. As the most common house pets, dogs and cats can have the unfortunate habit of urinating on sofas, recliners and whatever upholstered furniture you may have. This is a more common occurrence when animals are younger and have not been fully trained to go outside or use the litter box. However, if your pet is suddenly urinating or eliminating in inappropriate areas, it may be a sign of illness or disease, and a visit to the vet would be needed. In the mean time, it’s important pet urine and its smell is cleaned and eliminated to prevent future accidents from reoccurring.
That’s why we need the best cat urine remover for the job. But choosing a urine remover depends on lots of factors, considering you and your cat’s interest, the material that you’re going to apply on, and others.

The first solution most people try is a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. Mix a cup of white vinegar, two tablespoons of baking soda, and a cup of warm water then apply it to the stain while the whole mixture is still bubbling.
