“what to use to clean up cat urine _enzyme cleaner for dog urine”

Take your dirty laundry out of your room and wash it; also, don’t keep your shoes in your room. It might be a good idea to change your bedding and launder it more often. Lastly, open up the windows and let your room air out.
Yes, but you have to let the match burn for a few seconds and then extinguish it without throwing it into the toilet. The smell that permeates the room after you extinguish the match is what will eliminate the odor.
I certainly hope that I never have to use Stinkers! for skunk spray, but I’m pretty confident that it would do a great job. According to one of the many 5-star reviews on Amazon, “Skunks and my dogs meet each other on a regular basis on my ranch…forget all those home remedies, this works!” Judging by how well Stinkers! worked on everything else we tested this past month (including that absolutely putrid dead animal stink!), I’m going to take his word for it!
also be absolutely certain to avoid foods with HIGH magnesium and ash content, I’ve had numerous cats over the years, two at the same time from using no name cat food i’d bought from IGA/superstore/provigo/metro, chains in Canada and all associated. I didn’t realize by saving a few bucks it would cost me upwards of five hundred bucks to have the vet use a catheter to open up their urethras. If the concentration of ash and magnesium is too high, then often they wind up getting calcified pieces of chrystals in their urine which for a person, is tantamount having small shards of glass /a cat will meow, painfully when urinating, sometimes as they are full of pee, they’ll go where they are at, check the spot, or leave ateeny amount of litter in their box, to avoid missing the blood. You can see the shiny glittery shards of calcified urine pieces, or if you’re not too squeamish(urine is sterile until it exits the body, just wash your hands after using a finger to run through the spot. Don’t punish them, this is like punishing a child for puking when they are ill. Take them to a vet, change the food to low ash/magnesium content, and once a week , allow the urine to get really concentrated, by removing their food bowls, not the water, just the food, and the system will purge itself and break up chrystals naturally. Just one day a week, let them go without food until night time, say fourteen hours. I know the crying will get to you but in the end they will be healthier for it people should give a certain quantity of food per day, dense food as well, such as no name iams, sameingredients, immense difference in price mother hubbards is one that sells it around a dollar or dollar and a half . If you switch, some cats develop this naturally, and have to be constantly purged. Anyways I hope this saves on vet bills, if your cat is already bleeding, it’s too late to do anything but see a vet, google humane societies for low cost vets, as vets tend to overprice, another thing, all prescriptions can and you should insist on a prescription/they have been known to charge up to 100% more on something you can pick up for your pet at a local pharmacy. I had to get phenobarbitol, which was at the vet, but she was a cat lover/animal lover, she suggested instead to get it at the pharmacy, which I did from then onward, valium is effective on cats or dogs having seizures, fyi, but you must verify weight online, at several different sites, also for agitation while taking roadtrips, vomitting, etc. Its a wonderful thing to have on hand but never give more than.25mgs of it. NOT 25 mgs. Thanks for your answers. I hope I have assisted you bookmark or copy and paste also one last thing, animals in particular, males, tend to get this calcificated urine particles, after they are fixed, or before, you need to clarify that, so if you get them fixed, go online to ensure what their diet should consist of remembering always, they are carnovores, so try to get (the ingredients are listed on the side, the most quantity to the least in that order)foods that contain mostly chicken, rice, etc, it’s the crap in the food the fillers that cause these sicknesses. Most vets won’t be happy when you tell them you are aware you can get same meds at a pharmacy, unless they are strictly for animals, to avoid the immense markup but they cannot refuse you. Not one time, you can put in a complaint that can cost them their license, they’d prefer to just give you the script.
After you’re done cleaning, shine a black light on a troublesome spot. It will show if cat urine is still present in the area. Sometimes it may seem like the urine is gone, but it can crystallize and stay present in carpet fibers. A black light shows the size of the stain that isn’t visible to the human eye or picked up by the human nose.
Locate the source of the odor. It’s easiest to clean fresh stains that are still damp, since you can lift much of the urine from the affected spot. However, you may also come across dried stains. In these cases, the same procedures should be followed, even though the urine has had more time to break down and soak into the surface.
My 16 yr old granddaughter just spent a week with me. She left 3 1/2 weeks ago. I was changing the bedding because another guest was coming, and to my horror, I could see where she had peed multiple times on my BRAND NEW MATTRESS!!! I had a thick padded mattress cover on it. If she had told me I would have done something immediately. I read this blog, and many others. The peroxide, baking soda, and dish soap was the one that came up most often. I had an unopened bottle of peroxide, but the use by date on the bottle was 2007. Yes, 2007. I fixed the mixture, it took 2 spray bottles full to treat the area. I kid you not, by the time I was finished spraying, the stain was gone. That was just unbelievable!!!!!
I am very surprised at all the good reviews on Odorzout products. Not sure why it seems to work for some and not others. I have the laundry one as well as this all purpose one and I have had NO LUCK at all with using this. My husbands work clothes were the main test for the laundry version of this and it FAILED miserably, over and over. It failed even on minor odors so this is all a waste of money to me. I have recently read reviews of what a nightmare it is to vacuum up from carpet and floors if you don’t have a strong shop vac and I can see where that would be the case. If you are desperate it may be worth trying since it seems to work for some.
Clean furniture. Pet smells love to hide in furniture. Your cat’s special chair may be host to all sorts of irksome smells. The type of furniture will dictate the best cleaning method, but you should always check the care labels before cleaning to make sure the piece isn’t dry clean only. Care labels marked with an S mean don’t clean with water, and X means dry clean only.

Thanks for your response Eric. Well, I did have the service come back out. He told me what he did should take care of it as he used an entire jug of whatever enzyme cleaner they use. That was Friday Morning and while it is better than it was there is still a stench. The service has said they specialize in pet treatments, but I am beginning to wonder if this is going to work. They are not pulling up the carpet so I do wonder if whatever they are doing is penetrating through to the pad. I know my cat has not resoiled the carpet because I have kept the room closed. Keeping the window open during the day.

That said, pet odor eliminators are not the only ones to pick and choose carefully. Other items can be just as dangerous, if not more so. Here are a few you need to keep away from dogs, or make sure you buy pet-friendly options:
To answer your questions – yes, I have a front loader and I use OxiClean by just throwing it on top of the laundry. As far as the OdoBan, I just looked it up and YES I would pick up a couple of jugs. What I’m seeing from the reviews is that it’s very strong smelling so definitely open up your house top to bottom and if you have any fans get those going too because you’re not going to want to breathe that stuff in in concentrated amounts. It looks like this is good for more than just clothes. Following the directions for mixing the OdoBan with water, I would wipe down your walls and any hard floors you have then I would put it in your Little Green (I can’t get through the week without mine, good buy!) up to the solution line, add water, and use it on your upholstery and carpet. Just skip the OxiClean for the carpet as it sounds like the OdoBan may be a better bet for the concentrations of urine you’re dealing with.

White Vinegar. To rid your linoleum or hardwood floors of that “not so fresh feeling”, simply mix a 3:1 solution of warm water and White Vinegar in your mop bucket and get to work. Remember to crack a window or two. Vinegar has a good clean smell, but it’s a strong one.
Hey, this may be a bit late for the one commenter talking about pee soaked plywood subflooring but maybe it can help someone else in the future. After treating plywood with vinegar, bleach, whatever else, let it dry thoroughly and then use Killz primer on it. Do a couple of coats. This will seal the plywood and hel prevent any residual urine smell from coming up through new carpeting.

But even for him, that rule wasn’t good enough. Throughout the day he would relieve himself in one litter box, then the other litter box, and then – not finding it suitable to re-use one of the litter boxes – the carpeted corner of my bedroom.
Boxers often struggle in the fight against smelly gear. Even the best boxer, who can win every bout in the ring, often loses the bout against his own boxing gear odor. Boxing gloves, headgear, and boots pose specific challenges. Here are some tips to keep boxing gear smelling good. » More
This product is specialized for protein-based stains. It won’t work as well on soap scum, hard water and other types of bathroom stains. It is also not an EPA-registered disinfectant, which is often needed in restrooms.
It’s likely that house training a dog is the most frustrating task for a pet owner. The worst part is the urine smell that you can never seem to get rid of. The best pet odor eliminator products are designed to not only remove stains but keep your home smelling fresh and clean, even when you’re potty training your new puppy.
Anyone with small children, pets, or a smoker in the house knows all too well that room deodorizers and air fresheners only mask the smell temporarily and don’t solve your real air cleaning needs. You’re left buying more and more and more to constantly mask offending odors. To gain fresh, clean air, the odors in your home must be neutralized and cleaned completely. Odors like strong cooking smells, chemical fumes, and tobacco smoke are particularly dangerous for people with asthma, allergies, COPD, or MCS. As the air reaches the lungs, these bothersome odors and fumes trigger allergic and asthmatic reactions.

We have experienced dog urine stains and odor in carpets and have found most commercial cleaners are ineffective. In addition, most carpet cleaning companies are unable to remove the odor. We had one company that had to clean and treat the flooring under the carpet in order to eliminate the odor under the carpet. We are trying the vinegar solution as a last resort for an area rug that the carpet cleaning company was unsuccessful at deodorizing.

To remove dusty and musty smells from furniture, vacuum all upholstered furniture using an upholstery attachment.
As for rented apartments.. mmm keep cleaning.. or ask your landlord if you can replace the carpet with something else. Its in their interests to say yes really because if it smells of pee when you move out, though they will take your deposit, they still have to get a replacement put in..

Lately, some customers who were satisfied with the old product claimed that the new “odor control formula” turns out to be a fraud and it’s not good as the old one. They also changed the scent which might disappoint customers who like the old smell.
My daughter had a cat that had pretty thoroughly repeatedly saturated one corner in her basement. What worked for her was a strong (natural) solution of Melaleuca’s Solumel mixed with Melaleuca’s Tough and Tender and did this a two to three times which took out all stain AND odor. Cat urine is a tough one, so I’d try this if I were you!
Some of our furry friends only occasionally slip, whereas others urinate on the carpet more frequently — especially older pets. These smells contain a strong ammonia odor that can stink up the entire home.
